As the important component of traditional Chinese culture,traditional festival culture underwent the test of thousands of years,during which,the public order and good morals,humanistic feelings and spiritual reasons are deposited;and the distinctive ethnic psychology and character of Chinese people are reflected,which influences the behavioral way of the Chinese people from generation to generation.It can say that traditional festival culture carries the essences of the Chinese culture and serves as the cultural root to build our common spiritual home.However,with the development of the era as well as the increasingly frequent communication and cooperation between China and other countries,foreign cultures are gradually permeated into the cultural fields of China and impact the traditional Chinese culture to some extent.In the nearly one hundred years,traditional culture encountered tremendous destruction;hence,the serious cultural fault formed during the inheritance.Currently,most senior high students have not received traditional cultural education.However,due to that their physical and mental states are not mature enough,it is quite easy for them to generate the psychology of blind worship while seeking novelty when facing foreign cultures.Many senior high school students have little knowledge of traditional Chinese festivals,but are enthusiastic about foreign festivals.Senior high school students are the future of China,and will undertake the responsibility to build our country.Besides,to build a strong socialist country,excellent traditional culture is needed to serve as the support.Therefore,to promote excellent traditional culture during Chinese teaching in senior high schools is a holy mission honored by the era to the subject of Chinese.As the important component of traditional culture,festival culture makes the students grasp and cherish festival culture,which has great significance.In the Ordinary Senior High School Chinese Course Standards,the features of Chinese course are clarified,that is,the unification between the features of tools and humanistic features,which determines the close relationship between Chinese teaching and promoting festival culture.Chinese course is not only the tool to promote traditional festival culture,but also serves as the carrier of cultures.Chinese teaching in senior high schools shall adapt the development of the society.Currently,to realize the great ideal to revitalize the Chinese people,it shall not be separated from promoting traditional festival culture.To promote traditional festival culture is the mission honored by the era to Chinese teaching in senior high schools.While writing the paper,the author is based on the practice of Chinese teaching in senior high school.Many parts take the cases during teaching as the example to illustrate how to promote traditional festival culture during Chinese teaching in senior high schools.Besides,the author collected five Chinese teaching syllabuses,which the Chinese Teaching Syllabus in Full-Time High Schools with Ten-Year Schooling in 1978,Chinese Teaching Syllabus in Full-Time High Schools in 1986,Chinese Teaching Syllabus in Full-Time High Schools in 1990,Chinese Teaching Syllabus in Full-Time Ordinary Advanced High Schools in 1996,Chinese Teaching Syllabus in Full-Time Ordinary Advanced High Schools in 2002,and Chinese Course Standards in Ordinary Senior High Schools in 2003,as well as one Chinese Course Standards in Senior High Schools during the period after restoring the college admission examination up to now.Besides,the author collected seven versions of Chinese Compulsory Teaching Materials published by People's Education Pressure during this period,which are four brochures of Chinese Textbook in Full-Time Senior High Schools with Ten-Year Schooling in 1979 published by People's Education Pressure,six brochures of Chinese Textbook in Full-Time Advanced High Schools in 1983,six brochures of Chinese Textbook in Full-Time Advanced High Schools in 1987,six brochures of Chinese Textbook in Full-Time Advanced High Schools in 1990(compulsory),six brochures of Chinese Textbook in Full-Time Ordinary Advanced High Schools in 2000(test & revised edition,compulsory),six brochures of Chinese Textbook in Full-Time Ordinary Advanced High Schools in 2003(compulsory),and five brochures of Experimental Chinese Textbook of Ordinary Senior High School Course Standards in 2004(compulsory).From the above materials,the author found the trend that in the new period,the central government of China pays more and more attention to revitalizing traditional culture,which not only reflects on the expression of traditional cultural contents in Chinese Teaching Syllabuses in High Schools and Chinese Course Standards in Senior High Schools,but also on the adding of the essays concerning traditional culture in Chinese Compulsory Teaching Materials in Senior High Schools published by People's Education Pressure.In addition,these essays regarding traditional culture are mostly involved with traditional festival culture.However,there are still some shortcomings in promoting traditional festival culture in the current Chinese teaching practice in senior high schools.By analyzing these shortcomings,the author proposed the strategy to promote traditional festival culture during Chinese teaching in senior high schools,that is,to make the Chinese teachers improve their own qualities at first,including the feelings to love traditional festival culture and profound cultural deposits,as well as the consciousness to teach students to cherish traditional festival cultural psychology,let students know the importance to learn traditional festival culture and make students grasp the current situation of traditional festival culture and the direction to promote and develop traditional festival culture in the future.The paper also proposes the channel to develop traditional festival cultural education in the curricular and extracurricular activities.In the paper,the materials are detailed and the opinion is sharp;hence,it has a certain feasibility and reference value.
