The design of English teaching in primary school based on students' experience plays a significant role in improving the pertinence and effectiveness. It is clearly stated in the English Curriculum Standard that students' life experience and knowledge should be fully aroused. During the English teaching, teachers should try to follow students'experience to stimulate their enthusiasm for English learning and build their good learning habits. In the recent years, although English teaching in primary school has made remarkable achievements in both theory and practice, there are still some problems: students'experience is often neglected or improper used. Therefore, it is essential to explore the design of English teaching in primary school based on students' experience from two aspects:theoretical knowledge and practical cases. From the perspective of the source, students' experience includes two types:life experience and learning experience. From the perspective of the influence of English learning, it mainly includes positive experience and negative experience. The design of English teaching in primary school needs to promote the mutual transformation of life and learning experience according to the types and characteristics of students' experience so that to develop and optimize positive experience.Due to the different content and distribution of every single topic, students' experience, which is required or need to be developed, is various. In terms of the high frequency topics, accumulated students'life experience and learning experience should be followed during the English teaching. In terms of the low frequency topics, teachers should focus on students' life experience due to the lack of students'learning experience. In terms of the topics that only appear in the high grade, students' life experience should be fully used and related learning experience, which is cultivated through other English topics, should be taken seriously so that the positive effects could be effectively used to stimulate and enhance students learning.Above all, the design of English teaching in primary school will be more effective only by clarifying the relationship between students' experience and English topics.
