Under the background of new normal economy, the tourism industry, which is represented by the hotel industry, ushering the new opportunities of development. At the same time, the sustained and healthy development of vocational education has been taken seriously by our nation. As the backbone of the development of vocational educations’, the level of quality of the vocational education teacher (which is referred as "vocational teacher" hereinafter) has led to direct impact on the vocational education. However, from a practical point of development, the vocational education teachers are still facing with’ several development dilemmas, such as insufficient quantity, non-standard quality, not matched teachers and so on. All these problems have hindered the construction of modern vocational education system, as well as the comprehensive improvement of skilled talents’overall quality. In order to further standardize the process of vocational teachers’ training, the Ministry of Education and Finance have carried out the Project of Vocational Teacher’Training Package in 2013, which includes a number of professional, such as hotel management, tourism management and so on. The project intended to study the standards for teachers and teachers’training, special textbooks and others, which can help deliver high-quality and sufficient talents for the development of vocational education.This paper has taken the Hotel Management in Undergraduate of Vocational Education as the study object, exploring the quality problems they face in the process of education and teaching, which is the gap between excepted and actual in teaching. And then build the special Hotel Management in Undergraduate of Vocational Education Scale for further analysis. As a result, these exists four gaps in actual teaching, which consists perception gap, standards gap, transferring gap and communication gap, and ultimately constituted teaching quality gap. From a practical point of view, the Hotel Management in Undergraduate of Vocational Education is still in the exploratory stage constantly, with insufficient development experience, featureless training objectives, imperfect teaching fragmentation and uneven level of teachers, so the phenomenon of teaching quality deviations is inevitable. Therefore, the Hotel Management in Undergraduate of Vocational Education in our country should seize the opportunities for development timely, and make the school to build proper position of "education service providers", as well as take the enhancement of teaching quality as the core of teaching. Through careful understandings of the professional, detailed scientific training standards, well trained teachers and recognizing students’truly needs, the school can satisfy students’ personalized needs, in order to adapt to the building of vocational teachers in hotel management professional and the market requirements of in the new background. |
