As China deepens its efforts to complete the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects,the incomes of urban and rural residents have grown steadily,the people's living standards have improved substantially,and the system of paid vacations and holidays has been constantly improved,laying a sound foundation for the development of tourism.The hotel industry is directly benefiting from the rapid development of tourism industry,the scale of the industry continues to grow,is gradually moving towards a large-scale,high-quality development era.According to the Report on The Development and Investment of Hotel Chains in China(2015-2019)released by China Hotel Association,the number of starred hotel rooms in China increased from 2.1501 in 2015 to 4.1497 in 2019,with an average compound growth rate of 17.87%.The secondary vocational hotel management major,which is specialized in training professional talents for the hotel industry,urgently needs to improve the quality of teaching services so as to better transport more professional talents with high quality,strong ability and fine business for the hotel industry.From the current feedback,indeterminate secondary vocational hotel management professional training objectives,unreasonable structure of teachers,teaching method and mode of growing old,affected the quality of talent cultivation,restricted the long-term healthy development of hotel industry,with the current social development and the development of tourism does not adapt,need to be addressed.Based on SERVQUAL model,this paper takes HY vocational school hotel management students as the research object,and conducts empirical research on the teaching service quality of the hotel management major of the sample school through literature research,questionnaire survey,in-depth interview and other methods.The collected data were statistically analyzed by SPSS,and the gaps restricting the quality of teaching services were found,namely,the gaps in demand cognition,standard setting,information transmission and publicity and communication.Finally,according to the results of qualitative and quantitative analysis,combined with interviews with students,peer teachers and teaching leaders in charge of the school,four causes of the gap are found out,and corresponding countermeasures are proposed on this basis.At present,there is a general lack of research on the teaching service quality of the hotel management major in secondary vocational schools.This paper takes the hotel management major at the secondary vocational education stage as the entry point for research,and selects the SERVQUAL model,which is relatively mature in the field of service quality,to evaluate the teaching service quality of the secondary vocational hotel management major.This paper analyzes the gap of teaching service quality in demand cognition,standard setting,information transmission and publicity communication.Based on this,the author proposes countermeasures to solve the problem,namely,comprehensive investigation and analysis of market demand,development of talent training plan according to demand,emphasis on the construction of "double-qualified" teachers and real publicity of the school,so as to promote the teaching level of hotel management major in secondary vocational education.
