The revised PEP Textbooks for compulsory education has made great changes in the illustration. In order to understand the revised textbook illustrations in what ways do change, and to explore the revised illustrations in textbooks to learn what role, this paper uses the method of literature study, comparative study and investigation, combined with the teaching experience, characteristics, the PEP compulsory education biology textbook illustrations the classification, function and teaching methods were discussed.The preface of this article describes the current situation of illustration teaching teaching material at home and abroad, expounds the purpose and significance of this research and the research method.The first chapter mainly makes a preliminary theoretical study on the junior high school biology teaching concept, illustrations, function, classification of the illustrations are described, and then describes the theoretical basis of illustration teaching, finally explained the illustrations in teaching role.The second chapter is on the junior high school biology illustration teaching to carry on the preliminary practice research. First 2012 edition textbooks and in the 2001 edition of the textbook interference image were compared statistically, also analyzes the advantages of the 2012 edition of textbook illustrations, existing problems and illustrations composition, classification, property and distribution and so on, also for newly added "think, debate, one discussion" section of the illustrations are classified, and teaching suggestions are put forward according to the characteristics of the illustrations. In addition, I also for the 2007 to 2015 in Ningde City, Fujian Province, junior high school biology two unified examination related to the survey questions. On the basis of these studies, I also use certain teaching strategies, to the junior middle school two grade biology teaching material illustration to have the goal, has the plan to the teaching practice.The third chapter is based on the comparative study of the two versions of the textbook illustrations, discusses the teacher in the process of teaching how to use the 2012 edition textbook illustrations effectively improve the biological science literacy of junior high school students, cultivate students' various abilities, improve the students' achievements.At the same time, combined with my previous teaching experience, the teaching of the 2012 edition of the compulsory education for the teaching of compulsory education put forward some strategies for teachers to refer to.
