The phenomena and rules of biology are major targets when Senior High School students learn this curriculum. However, these phenomena which Senior High School students get in touch with are mostly not discernible for them, nor relying on writing to describe their clear phenomena. The emerge of illustration, which makes single and bald writing extremely more active, some knowledge become more dramatic, students learn something more relaxed. After the Curriculum Revolution, faced with increasing illustrations in textbooks, more abundant content and more promoted qualities, teaching styles should make some changes according to the changes of textbooks, meanwhile, guiding students to obtain extra knowledge except for writing from illustrations in textbooks. Furthermore, at present, we are at the times of advanced images, no matter social life or school life, personal reading ability of images is of great importance. In order to achieve integrated development aims for students, based on illustrations in textbooks, exploring present situations of illustrations teaching has a significance meaning for biology in High School.First, the study is based on referring to and making up a large number of literatures, expounding fundamental theories and related exceptions about illustration teaching, and making-up, classify and characteristic about illustration in textbook clearly. Then, using reasonable researching methods, and confirming studying samples, considering teachers and students, I make a survey about present situation of biology illustration teaching for Senior High School. In the dissertation, the object of study is students and teachers from Grade One and Two of Senior High School in Guangming New Area, Shenzhen city. The study is mainly based on the aspects of learning motivation, learning attitude, learning environment, learning content, learning method, learning habit and learning grade, then analyses that if there is a difference between students from liberal arts and science, students from Grade One and Two. At last, according to investigation results and interview results from students and teachers, it concludes that some factors which have influences on illustration teaching of biology in Senior High School, including:1. Students' loving levels for biology illustrations.2. Teachers'cognitive levels for illustrations.3. The relationship between teachers and students.4. Atmosphere in the class has an influence on illustration teaching. In addition. the study concludes that some problems exist in the process of biology illustration teaching in Senior High School. They are respectively:1. Students have worse manipulative abilities.2. Teachers have less blackboard-writing and more presentations. 3. Students depend on teachers mostly.4. Actual question, such as rationality of illustration. Based on those, combining with personal experiences from attending lectures and observing excellent classed in daily life, I choose a curriculum which includes theories, social practice and experiment as a teaching case, which may have a good reference for teaching in future.At the stage of New Curriculum Reform, illustration teaching has got more emphasis from researchers, which not only reflects in biology subject but also in other subjects. illustration teaching implement smoothly, not only is an effective way to promote students' active learning, but also to cultivate students reading ability, knowledge chart, obtain knowledge from the images, it is the ability that a social person must to have. Based on the biology teaching present situation of Senior High School in Guangming New Area, Shenzhen city, I hope every teacher who fighting in the front line not only should do a good job of imparting knowledge, but also pursuits newer, more practical teaching method, and combining with experiences, making a study, thus, which makes students' biology accomplishment improve better and further, the ability of reading improve further, at the same time, biology education career develop better and better. And more importantly, high school students will learn the knowledge in life and social production practices through to value and study the textbook illustrations, enhance the ability to adapt to the life.
