Independent games is undoubtedly the most attractive activity in daily activities in kindergarten. It is also an education form that contains huge development value.Teachers could understand the full scope of the development of children by observing the independent games and recognize their real needs, so as to promote the effective of teachers' work.Independent game observation is, as it were, a connection between the real need of children and education.However, there are many problems in current implementation of the independent game observation.This study sorted out the development skeleton of the studies of independent game observation through literature retrieval,investigated teachers'concepts,ideas and practices of independent game observation in Z kindergarten through questionnaire investigation,analyzed the example of independent game observation practice,and looked into these teachers'thought and motivation by interviewing them.Current problems are summed up as follow:teachers' understanding of the independent game observation is scratchy,there is a disunity between knowing and doing;the objective of observation is inattentive.Teachers cannot accurately capture the significance of events,failed to choose the appropriate form of observation and record.And their records of observation are subjective,only the representation of the games they have reflected,but not the significance.In view of the current existing problems,we analyzed the factor that impact on the teacher's observation of independent games.and summarized as follow:how teachers value the observation of independent games;how much they knew about it;the attitude that the kindergarten holds to it.On these issues.we discussed how to improve their practice of observation:updating teachers'concept about independent game observation,helping them to build up confidence,arousing their intention;innovating teaching method,improving the professional of the observation of independent games;promoting the status of the observation in the gamut of education;and some advises for preschool teachers,including how to enact a observation plan,how to implement it and how to record during observation.
