Higher vocational colleges occupies half of higher education in our country. However, higher vocational colleges and ordinary institutions of higher learning from the differences between school-running orientation to the students' comprehensive quality. From the point of school, stressing the cultivation of students' skill in higher vocational colleges, in the teaching of specialized courses is more, less basic theory course, the students knowledge structure is relatively single, knowledge background to be strengthen; From the point of students, students in higher vocational colleges students complex, students generally is low, the comprehensive quality and humanistic accomplishment, cognitive ability, self-control and ordinary university students there is a gap; From the students practice link in higher vocational colleges carry out "work-integrated learning", "field work", the students from the campus environment to the social environment, the external crisis inducement. The particularity of higher vocational colleges, higher vocational colleges the probability of crisis, crisis management is facing the test.At the same time, the arrival of the new media era makes people's way of life, way of thinking, cultural activities, access to information and so on many aspects reformed fundamentally. The transfer of information among students in higher vocational colleges with the help of new media is very common.Once the crisis occurs, the speed of information dissemination of the crisis will be faster, wider range, the difficulty of the control of the crisis will also increase. However, the current higher vocational college students in the process of crisis management, still use the traditional means to keep up with the rapid development of new media, leading to many the intensification of contradictions which should not have happened.How to put the crisis management in higher vocational colleges under the background of new media, to improve the ability of crisis management in higher vocational colleges has become a subject that must be solved in higher vocational colleges.In this paper, based on the crisis management theory, analyzes the characteristics of higher vocational college crisis, combined with the background of new media, pointed out that the impact of new media on crisis management in higher vocational colleges.Through a questionnaire survey of Shaanxi business college, Xi'an aerotechnical polytechnic college, and shaanxi railway engineering vocational college, the scientific analysis of the current higher vocational colleges in the new the media under the background of crisis management of the status quo, summed up the common problems.Through the existing problems, from three aspects of the social environment, higher vocational college management, students themselves, the causes of the problem will be obtained. Finally, the application of crisis management and communication related knowledge, proposed to combine the background of new media, to establish the scientific crisis management concept, strengthen the construction under the background of new media crisis management body, build a new media platform of crisis management, establish and perfect the new media crisis management mechanism in four aspects, so that a new system of crisis management in higher vocational college is constructed in new media background.
