The Analysis Of Dilemma Of Mate Selection Of The Rural "Knowledge Type" Floating Male Youth In The Social Mobility Perspective

Look back contemporary China's social development,"mobility" has become new normal.Sociologist focused on this field in the past thirty years,their research results show not only the causes and influence factors of flow,but also living and employment status,social welfare condition,social networks relationship and urbanization of floating population to us,they made a lot of valuable development advice.With the gradual aging of the first floating population,the new generation of floating population will occupy the main position,the data show that in 140 million floating population,the proportion of young people aged 18-35 is over 70%,reaching more than 100 million.For floating youth,the most important social task in the youth stage is married,the question of their marriage and family is an important issue that can not be ignored besides paying attention to the floating state and management of floating population.Under the guidance of this study,the author focuses on the micro level,and puts forward the research topic of this paper is:The analysis of the dilemma of mate selection of the rural "knowledge type" floating male youth in the social mobility perspective.Mate selection is an important part of the marriage,but one thing worth noting is that choosing a mate is becoming more and more difficult,many young people are forced to marry.These phenomena early warn that the mate selection of the new generation of floating population has an unprecedented risk.According to the available literature,it shows that the academic circles have achieved initial results in the study of "migrant workers",who are called as the new generation of migrant workers.However "knowledge type" youth,especially young male,who flow to city by accepting higher education have been ignored.They have cultural advantages,are regarded as the backbone of the country,but the fact is they bear greater pressure on the material and spirit in the marriage and family,They can not even set up their own families according to their own wishes,They,like the new generation of migrant workers,are in a weak position in the mate market because of the "flow" attribute.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to explore the problems encountered in the process of mate selection of the rural "knowledge type" floating male youth and the reasons for the dilemma of spouse selection in the social mobility perspective.In this paper,the literature research method and the field research method are used to analyze the living situation,spouse selection model and the dilemma in spouse of the rural "knowledge type" floating male youth.On the whole,there are contradictions and conflicts between their living conditions and the spouse mode.Onthe one hand,they will use their own cultural capital to integrate into the city life actively,this kind of flow experience will affect their concept and behavior of mate choice,so that the model of their mate selection presents many modern features.But more often they will be subjected to passive social isolation objectively,the survival condition is not optimistic,resulting in the ideal spouse mode can not be achieved,into the plight of spouse.According to the above information,we can summarize the three-point mate dilemma of the rural "knowledge type" floating male youth:first of all is that it is more difficult for them to choose a mate in the city;the second is facing Chinese-style "forced marriage";finally is the dilemma of "local mate choice".Then,the author analyzes the causes of the mate dilemma in the theoretical framework of social mobility,and points out that the social mobility experiences of rural"knowledge type" floating male youth have deeply influenced their mate behavior and created a new model of mate selection,but they are still subjected to the various realities after the flow,they can not find a mate successfully,which is embodied in the following five points:first,spouse-selection behaviors under the social mobility have more autonomy;second,social mobility lead to communication isolation;third,theylack the social security and social support network in the city;fourth,the collision between traditional and modern concept of mate choice;fifth,dual function of marginal status and family pressure.To sum up,the conclusion of this paper is:the rural "knowledge type" floating male youth face the mate dilemma,and the emergence of this dilemma is closely related to their unique flow experience.
