Since 2012,China has issued six Annual First Policy Document to emphasize the significance of the cultivation of new professional farmers.Meanwhile,the 18th National Congress of Communist Party of China proposed to complement lifelong learning system and build the learning society.Under such background,the learning issues of new professional farmers has become the focus of society.However,new professional farmers are faced with numerous problems at present.Thus,to probe into a kind of new mechanism to stimulate their active learning is of great importance.To construct learning community is an effective way to solve the learning problems of farmers.Through methods of literature research,investigation,interview and case analysis,the thesis conducts the study on the theory and practice of construction of new professional farmers' learning community in China according to the logical thinking of that the new professional farmers'learning community is wanted,how to construct the farmer learning community and what kind of learning community we should establish.On the basis of literature review and theoretical analysis,this paper mainly explores four issues.Firstly,the author analyzes the necessity and feasibility of farmer learning community construction and puts forward the idea that as an important way to solve the learning problems of farmers,to construct learning community is necessary and feasible.Secondly,three prototypes of farmers' learning community are expounded,including Three-kilometer Education Circle,New Education Community of Rural Community and One-stop Service Farmer Training Base.Afterwards,the author discovers that current forms are not mature,and there exist several problems such as lack in awareness of common learning,absence of social trust and cooperation,deficiency in operation of community.Thirdly,the construction of Lifelong Learning for Farmers of Commonwealth of Learning is explored.The writer draws lessons from it and brings forward its enlightenment on the learning community construction of new professional farmers in China,including to build good atmosphere of cooperation,to focus on the win-win diversified main bodies' involvement,to establish learning platform with new technology and to promote farmer learning community based on communities.Finally,upon the study of theory and practice as well as the reference to the successful experience of COL,the new professional farmers' learning community is established.This community is based on the support of common learning,takes new professional farmers,the government and the whole society as the construction subjects,and makes the villages,towns and counties as the promotion foundation.Moreover,in order to successfully run the community,five suggestions are raised,which are to build common vision,to create programs,to conduct classified construction,to improve operation mechanism,and to reinforce external assurance.The author draws three conclusions,believing that it is of certain significance and feasibility to build the farmer learning community,that the existing forms of farmer learning community is not mature and we should reasonably learn from foreign successful experiences,and,that the farmer community feathered in three subjects and centered on administrative village/community,towns as well as counties is needed to be established nationwide for current inappropriate models.
