Direct-view is a method that helps students make clear the contents,the clear presentation of the process and the perceptual knowledge through observing what they have learned in class,how the teachers described the things,and what kinds of teaching tools they used in the teaching process.Due to the special character of the subject of history,the contents that history textbooks and courses study have become the past.Then how to show the figures and events of the past to the students both distinctly and stereoscopically has been a major challenge for the history textbooks of middle school.The introduction of direct-view better solves the conflict problems in time,space and realistic sight in history teaching,and enlivens those abstract and intangible historical events and figures all at once.As to the research for direct-view t,its more explicit clues was found after the foundation of the People's Republic.After the establishment of New China,in accordance with the changes of foreign policies and domestic situations of China,the application of direct-view in history textbooks and teachings is occasionally ups and downs.The application of this in the teaching system of middle school history can be roughly divided into three periods.The first period is the period for Sino-Soviet friendship.In this period,direct-view,as Soviet's advanced teaching idea,has a wide and deep effect on the history of new China.Various teaching of this method used to be widely applied in the compilation of textbooks for a period of time.The second period is the period just after the Sino-Soviet relations were strained and domestic ideological confrontation period.The method was rejected and excluded from the middle school history textbooks of China because of its Soviet-style during this period of time.After entering the new period,the role of the method played on the history teaching has been reviewed and recognized again,and thereby,direct-view has gradually returned to theteaching classroom and textbooks in China.Nowadays,the application of direct-view is becoming increasingly diverse in the history teaching of modern middle schools,and is continually updated with the development of new teaching technology and the appearance of new teaching methods.Apart from the relatively traditional direct-view like semantic direct-view and analogue direct-view and so on,multimedia direct-view teaching rose in recent years has become the main theme of the history classroom teaching for the current middle schools.Though direct-view has become one of the most important teaching principles for history subject,there still have some immanent problems yet to be solved and improved in a practical application,such as when we should apply direct-view to the classroom teaching,and when we should use a combination of various teaching rather than a single one,which are still worthwhile for us to have a further discussion and study.
