The number of students studying overseas in China is observably creasing in the past years.More and more Chinese parents prefer to send their children to study in international schools from high school, which boosts the international schools in large and medium cities. And meanwhile, problems appear during its fast development. The paper focuses on Canada Weifang Secondary School(the Sino-Canadian educational cooperation program in Weifang No.1 Middle School of Shandong Province). It analyzes the problems in curriculum planning in such four aspects like cultural orientation, curriculum object, curriculum content, and curriculum evaluation.More valuably,it is trying to discover the solutions to the problems. The paper includes five parts. In the first part,it describes the background of the research. The writer has set the structure of the paper and methods of the research based on other research into the Sino-foreign educational cooperation programs made by other educators home and abroad. In the second part,it firstly defines Sino-foreign educational cooperation programs and curriculum-planning.It introduces the curriculum offered in different Sino-foreign educational cooperation programs and stresses that curriculum-planning is the essential part of running a school. What's more,it raises the four principles to plan the Sino-foreign curriculum. That is the principle of collaboration of humanity with exam-oriented education;the principle of collaboration of unity with diversity;the principle of collaboration of academics with practice;the principle of collaboration of internationalization with localization. In the third part,it introduces the Sino-Canadian educational cooperation program in Weifang No.1 Middle School in four aspects like curriculum object, curriculum structure, curriculum content, and curriculum evaluation. In the fourth part, the writer describes the problems existing in the Sino-Canadian program in the five aspects mentioned above and analyzes the reasons that cause the problems. The problems are as follows. The curriculum object is drifting away from the quality-oriented education. The students are tending to be influenced by Western culture but neglect the importance of the Chinese traditional culture. The courses offers are limited and it can't meet the requirement for students' development. The Canadian courses and Chinese courses are separately operated and it causes much burden to students. The process assessment is not strictly implemented and the credits can't be fully adopted by the authority. In the fifth part, the writer gives valuable suggestions to the problems mentioned in curriculum. The first strategy is to stick to quality-oriented education but not drifting away from the educational object. The second strategy is to offer courses about Chinese traditional culture and make sure the students will not be lost in cultural shock. The third strategy is to make necessary changes on the schedule in order to offer students more choices in courses. The fourth strategy is to make changes in curriculum so as to reduce the pressure on students. The fifth strategy is to perfect the assessment and promote the constructive talk between the educational authorities in both China and Canada to accept the credits of both parts.
