The theory of Multiple Intelligences which Howard Gardiner proposed redefines the intelligence of mankind and emphasizes that each student’s intelligence is diverse and differences.Each student is a combination of a variety of intelligence in different degree,and they have their own preponderant intelligence and poor intelligence.Teaching must respect the different intelligence of students,and develop student-centered individualized teaching.Through diversified teaching methods,it can develop preponderant intelligence of students,and cultivate students’ ability of application of their knowledge and innovation.However,because of long-term influenced by the examination-oriented education,the teaching of information technology is still widely used traditional teaching methods,and the teaching effect is worrying.Based on this,this paper,under the guidance of Multiple Intelligences theory,carries on the related research and exploration on instructional design of information technology teaching in high school.At first,this article expounds the connotation of the theory of Multiple Intelligences and the new thinking of education,and analyzes the characteristics of information technology disciplines and the current problems of information technology teaching in high school.This paperfinds out the point of penetration of Multiple Intelligences guiding the teaching of information technology in high school,and puts forward the principles and strategies of instructional design of information technology in high school based on multiple intelligences theory.Then the author summarizes the six modules of information technology in high school which stipulated by curriculum standards from the perspective of the Multiple Intelligences theory,and briefly analyzes the intelligence orientation and teaching strategies of the six modules,and tries to construct the multi-intelligence instructional design mode of compulsory modules.Secondly,according to the model,the author makes an instructional design of Processing and Expression of Information,which is the second teaching unit of Information Technology Foundation.The author makes an unit design of teaching content,and also makes a detailed teaching process design with the processing and expression of text information as an example.Finally,according to instructional design,the author carried on teaching implementation at class 17,grade 1 of the first high school of Changsha for two months.Through the data which collected by questionnaire,the author analyzed the teaching effect and the development status of students’ multiple intelligences.The results show that the instructional design of information technology in high school based on Multiple Intelligences theory can improve teaching efficiency and students’ multiple intelligences.This paper carries on theoretical and practical studies on the instructional design of information technology in high school guided by theory of Multiple Intelligences,and provides a new idea for the instructional design of information technology in high school.At the same time,it also enriches and expands the research field of the theory of Multiple Intelligences,deepens the integration of the theory of Multiple Intelligence and information technology education in high school,and provides help for teachers’ practical teaching of information technology in high school.
