China is a big agricultural country, rural education has the characteristics of broad range and large quantity, rural teachers account for a quite large proportion in the total number of Chinese teachers, and among them,80% are the rural teachers from the stage of compulsory education, so it is necessary to pay due attention to their survival conditions. Paying attention to the subject not only can improve the living and working quality of rural teachers but also can promote the quality of rural education, which is also the need for building new harmonious socialist rural areas. Documentary method, questionnaire method, interview method and other relevant research methods are used comprehensively in the research to study the current survival conditions, influencing factors and other relevant issues of rural teachers in Longjing City preliminary and put forward some suggestions for improving the survival conditions of rural teachers in the stage of compulsory education.The main research conclusions of this paper are shown as follows:the self-identified social status of rural teachers in Longjing City in the practical society is relatively low; their salary and welfare is less than satisfactory; their workload is heavy and their physical and psychological status is not good enough; their working environment is bad; their career development is not good enough; and their life consciousness is relatively weak. The main factors for this are concerned with the government, school and teachers themselves. Therefore, the author puts forward the following suggestions:firstly, the government should improve the social status and salary of rural teachers greatly; secondly, the competent department should build the concept of people first and service; thirdly, rural teachers should pay attention to their own development.The author reads a large number of documents for the entire paper and combines the survey, interviews, observations and practice based on that, hoping to provide some references for relevant personnel in the industry in theories and practice.
