The Investigation And Research On The Status Quo Of Incumbent Swimming Lifeguards In Urban Districts Of Shijiazhuang

As people's living standard continuously increases,more and more people begin to enjoy fitness swimming.However,swimming is a sport of high danger,high risk and high involvement.Therefore,swimming lifeguards play an extremely important role in this sport.However,the position of swimming lifeguards is faced with many problems.As the provincial capital of Hebei Province,Shijiazhuang City has significant demonstration effect on leading the development of lifesaving business of other cities within the province.Therefore,the purpose of this article is to through the investigation and study,of shijiazhuang city swimming lifeguard to solve or improve the problems that exist in the development,so as to improve the overall level of shijiazhuang city lifeguards swim team,to effectively promote the development of shijiazhuang city swimming lifeguard team to provide certain theoretical basis.By using the research methods such as literature search,questionnaire survey,interview and mathematical statistics,the paper studied the current situation of swimming lifeguards in-service in urban area of Shijiazhuang in the aspects of annual personnel allocation,basic situation,work conditions,training and management conditions and job satisfaction degree.The study results showed that:(1)There is an obvious change law of lifeguard personnel allocation in terms of quantity due to seasonal factors in urban areas of Shijiazhuang.In summer during the busy season of fitness swimming,200-210 lifeguards are allocated.However,in winter during the off season of fitness swimming,a lot of lifeguards drain off.So,there is a gap of 92-102 lifeguards in total.(2)Male lifeguards account for 92% of all lifeguards;junior lifeguards account for 92.3% of all lifeguards;and lifeguards with bachelor's degree are the majority of all employed lifeguards,accounting for 76.9% of all lifeguards.(3)Full time lifeguards only account for 30.1% of all lifeguard positions;daily continuous working hours of 66.7% lifeguards are more than 8 hours,while 94.8% lifeguards have monthly income below RMB 2,000;About 62.2% swimming lifeguards have employment relationship at will.In addition,66.7% of part-time swimming lifeguards are notprotected by any labor contract which should have been provided by their employers.(4)There are 389 people in total who passed the lifeguard qualification assessment in Shijiazhuang.Only 45% of all lifeguards consciously take part in the annual qualification audit.(5)The average value of job satisfaction of swimming lifeguards in Shijiazhuang City is only 1.48.Such a job satisfaction level is very low;distinct differences of job satisfaction exist between different lifeguards at different ages and with different education levels(sig.<0.05);in addition,working hours and salaries have obvious negative correlation with the job satisfaction(sig.<0.05),which is of statistical significance.Conclusion:(1)The number of employed swimming lifeguards in urban area of Shijiazhuang has a direct relation with seasons,i.e.in summer the number is high,personnel drain is severe throughout the year;part-time swimming lifeguards account for a high proportion;the overall market is not properly regulated,lifeguard allocation of some natatoriums is not in compliance with relevant regulations;and some natatoriums employ lifeguards without qualification certificates.(2)In urban areas of Shijiazhuang City,junior swimming lifeguards account for the majority of all swimming lifeguards;male swimming lifeguards account for the majority of all swimming lifeguards;and swimming lifeguards with high education level account for the majority of all swimming lifeguards;part-time lifeguards consist of more youngsters,while more middle aged lifeguards are full-time.(3)Swimming lifeguards in urban areas of Shijiazhuang City are mainly autonomously employed,their wages are low,long working time,and nonstandard labor security insurance.(4)In terms of lifeguard cultivation and management,the number of swimming lifeguards in Shijiazhuang City is increasing year by year,but the annual audit system needs to be further standardized.(5)The overall evaluation of job satisfaction of swimming lifeguards in urban areas of Shijiazhuang city is low,and the main factors that affect job satisfaction are: demographic characteristics,job factors,input and output factors.
