Long-term goal based on education. Education matters a lot to the national well-being and people's livelihood. Higher education has a crucial effect in social and economic development. Nowadays the competitions of our society are mostly between talents; and talents mainly come from colleges and universities. As the subject for cultivating talents, a college's quality and level determines the abilities of talents. Since teachers in colleges and universities are the cultivators of top talents, their professional levels, theoretical knowledge, and individual quality are especially important. In the current society with high-rapid development, the establishment of rational, high-quality and efficient teaching faculty group is worth studying and probing.In accordance with actual demand of investigation, adopting with the method of document research, comparative analysis, and field investigation, the thesis analyzes the current situation of the construction of teaching faculty in S University. Taking for reference the present classified management of Chinese colleges and universities, this thesis gives practical suggestions based on in-depth discussion.The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter presents the background, the significance, and the methods of the study. The second chapter puts forward the core concept and the theory of the research. The third chapter gives an analysis on the status quo of S University. The fourth chapter gives the problems, and the possible causes of the teachers' management of S University. The fifth chapter comes up with the suggestions of the classified management of teachers in S University. The sixth chapter come to the conclusion, summed up the S university teachers post classification management suggestions, promotion for other colleges and universities in china.There are some problems existing in the construction and management of teaching faculty in S University which include the concept of classification management lags behind, the management system is not perfect, the educational background of teaching faculty being not high enough, the level of scientific research needing to be strengthened, the performance examining mode attaching more importance to quantity than to quality, the restricted accesses of the teachers'individual promotion, etc. All the above factors together result in the teachers' less positive attitude in their working, and a deficiency in combining teaching and scientific research as well. These suggestions and methods aim not only to build a high quality teaching faculty group in S University, but also to provide relative experiences and references for other colleges and universities.
