Students'present knowledge and experience is the basis of further learning. Chemical knowledge at the elementary education stage arranged spirally. The Chemistry in junior high school is mainly to help students to master some basic chemistry knowledge and skills, and also to develop their interest in chemistry. Chemistry learning in senior high school requires a deeper understanding of chemical concepts and principles, and students have to learn some basic methods of scientific research. Chemistry learning in senior high school is a continuation and promotion on Chemistry learning in junior high school.However, there is a lack of communication in chemistry teaching between junior high school and senior high school, resulting in many students'inadaptation to chemical learning when they enter senior high school.How to solve poor convergence problems in chemistry teaching is an important issue which has been focused on by educators at the elementary education stage. Combined the background of the new curriculum reformation with the characteristics of chemistry and multimedia-assisted teaching, this paper presents the use of multimedia-assisted teaching to promote the convergence of chemistry teaching at the elementary education stage.This paper is based on Constructive learning theory, Learning motivation theory, and Audiovisual teaching theory.Then it discusses the psychological differences of high school students,which is also the theoretical support of this research. The research is about students' learning interest and motivation, learning situation, their experience and views of multimedia assisted chemistry teaching. In view of the poor convergence problems in chemistry teaching and some problems in the process of using multimedia, this paper puts forward some concrete measures to promote the convergence of chemistry teaching from teaching strategies and chemistry knowledge.
