In recent years, with the rapid development of social economy, the society is also influenced and eroded by some unhealthy ethos, such as utilitarianism and materialis-m. They have exerted their impact on the development of education by separating the education from the origin of life and cultivating an educational value oriented towards social standard and knowledge standard, which ignore the humanistic care for student-s and impede the healthy development of individuals. Accordingly, the incidents that show indifference towards life, such as suicides and homicides, are frequently seen a-mong junior students, which are the manifestations of neglecting the thinking on the li-fe meaning and the pursuit of life value. Life education is a regression towards the es-sence of education, aiming to cultivate the life awareness and guide people to realize their life value. Bearing the task of moral education, the ideological and moral courses play important role in adapting the life education to the social development, highlight ing the dominant role of the stuednts, improving students' psychological quality and building correct outlook on life.This paper has made an introduction of literature research, comparative analyze, observation and other methods. Firstly, the paper has made a summary of the conception of life education. And analyzed the urgency and feasibility of implementing education for life with characteristics of the times and psychological quality of students. Secondly, implemented a new demarcation and summery of life education's content and target in ideological and ethical education. Lastly, aim at the problems in life education's implementation process, the paper proposed suggestions in improving teaching ability of teachers, perfecting system of life education's content, enhancing the guidance of school and other aspects.
