The author of this thesis has been working in TEDA International School for many years.As an administrative manager,she focuses on the performance evaluation system of teachers for years and has made some research on it.Not only does the performance evaluation for primary and secondary school teachers become an important part in education management,but also it has become a difficult task in the world wide.The new education reform has been carried out in China,so the requirement for teachers' qualification,the acting roles and the professional skills occurred significant changes under this new circumstance,which presents new challenge for the performance evaluation theory and practice research of teachers.The performance evaluation for teachers is one of the most comprehensive evaluation for teaching behavior and teaching results,so it should be adopted.In view of above,TEDA International school should adopt the balanced score card which is one of the modern performance evaluation tools to improve the existing performance evaluation system,to make new exploration on mechanism and methods,to establish a scientific and perfect elementary teachers performance appraisal index system and to help the school to solve some of the problems in some extend.In the very beginning,the author collects the research finding of performance evaluation to learn the BSC principles and application.Secondly,combined with the research results of schools in the past in this area and some of the success and failure experiences,the author find out the lack of assessment.Thirdly,the author designs a new evaluation system by using Balanced Score Card to solve the problem caused by the existing evaluation system,and makes comparison with it,which is a great enhancement for promoting the education level and education quality.At last,the author summarizes the advantage of the new evaluation system and propose the improvement method,which paves the way for future to adapt to the new changes.This paper argues that successful performance management is based on the direction of the country's reform.Drawing lessons from the international advanced experience,and to implement new evaluation method in education system.The specific work of primary and secondary school is complex and diverse,and the jobs of teachers are also complex and creative.To ensure the work smoothly development of overallperformance management,a balanced performance management system should be established.This paper attempts to build and implement the Balanced Scorecard in Tianjin TEDA International School,which can be used as a reference for the relevant schools.
