A Study On Entrepreneurship Education In American Universities

Entrepreneurship education is a new educational concept put forward by Western countries in late 1970s.Entrepreneurship education is the result of multi-participation and joint efforts.It is inseparable from the management of universities,the support of the community and the participation of students.Students as the main body of the university,are also the object of entrepreneurship education.Student participation directly affects the educational effect.Student community is the organization of students self-organization and spontaneous activities.Also,it is the non-utilitarian and non-profit organization.Community activities involve all aspects of practice in colleges and society.It is not only extended outside the classroom to reflect the classroom,but also an effective carrier of campus culture.Community culture is an important part of campus culture,affecting the growth of students and the development of colleges and universities.Among them,the student entrepreneurship community is based on entrepreneurial literacy and entrepreneurial activities,and it is closely linked with entrepreneurship education.American colleges and universities have formed a complete system model in entrepreneurial education and innovative personnel training over the years,and it has made remarkable achievements.This·paper discusses the rise,development and practice of entrepreneurial education in American colleges and universities.with the analysis of the important role of student entrepreneurial community in the whole university entrepreneurial ecosystem under the background of entrepreneurial education,this paper summarize the operational strategy for entrepreneurship education and provide reference for the development of higher education in China.This study chooses the University of California,Los Angeles as a sample of colleges and universities and focuses on the practice of students in entrepreneurship community in the process of the whole universities entrepreneurship education.At the same time,it reveals the relationship between the entrepreneurial education carried out in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the activities of college student entrepreneurial community.It is the key to the development of entrepreneurship clubs and societies in universities.Innovative and creative activities are the core of the development of entrepreneurship clubs and societies in American Universities.We should understand the value of students entrepreneurship clubs and societies,and promote the development of students’ entrepreneurship clubs and societies,and promote the entrepreneurial accomplishment of students with the development of students,and enhance the educational effect of entrepreneurship clubs and societies.
