STEM education advocates the concept and method of four-subject knowledge learning and interdisciplinary learning.It is not only conducive to the cultivation of students' hands-on operation,cooperative communication,innovation,creation and problem solving abilities,but also can comprehensively improve students' STEM literacy and basic skills.As a subject,primary school science can stimulate students' curiosity and curiosity,and cultivate students' scientific literacy.However,there are many problems in the teaching process,such as dissimilation of the basic idea of the course,isolation of the subject,emphasis on theory over practice,insufficient connection between teaching and life,lack of interaction between teachers and students,and underplay of the main role of students.Based on this,this paper attempts to integrate STEM education concept with primary school science teaching design.It can not only break through and improve traditional teaching and promote the solution of current science teaching problems in primary schools,but also contribute to the cultivation of students' STEM literacy and key skills in the 21 st century,as well as the integration,innovation and application of new ideas and specific disciplines.The research methods of this paper are literature,questionnaire and experiment.Teaching mode construction,teaching design,teaching practice and teaching effect analysis as the train of thought.The research process is as follows.Firstly,the teaching model is constructed.Specifically,the key factors of STEM education are analyzed.A 6D teaching model based on STEM education concept is designed by combining the 6D model.Then,based on the Curriculum Standards Of Compulsory Education for primary School science,the model is integrated with primary school science teaching.Secondly,teaching design is carried out,that is,the content and object of teaching are selected and analyzed,and the teaching design of elementary school science lessons is carried out based on the teaching mode,and the teaching evaluation standards are formulated.Thirdly,teaching practice is carried out,that is,different methods are adopted for teaching practice in two experimental classes.Finally,the teaching effect is evaluated comprehensively by means of questionnaire pre-test,students' classroom performance and questionnaire post-test analysis.In conclusion,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)The teaching model based on STEM education concept is operable;(2)Teaching examples designed based on STEM education philosophy have significant effects;(3)Teaching based on STEM education concept has a positive impact on students' learning;(4)Teaching based on STEM education concept has changed students' cognition of science curriculum;(5)Teaching based on the concept of STEM education effectively promotes the cultivation of students' scientific literacy.
