At present,scientific discovery and technological product in the world developing rapidly.In face of innovative talents demand gap and fierce international competition situation,our country attaches great importance to the cultivation of the core qualities,especially in the reserves of excellent people major in science and engineering.As the emergence of STEM education concept,educators in China have realized the STEM education has unique advantages in education.In terms of improving students' scientific literacy cultivation,science education in elementary school has been given a more and more important position.After research staff constantly find abuses and problems existing in the current science teaching process,a kind of brand-new teaching idea arise in the mind of domestic scholars and educators,and it caused great repercussions.it is the STEM education.Through the fusion of interdisciplinary knowledge,emphasis on project activities in teaching process with teachers' guide,it improves students' scientific literacy,technical quality,engineering quality and math quality,and other qualities that related to the topic.The research of this paper is carried out from the following six chapters: The first chapter mainly introduces the background of this study,including the development status of science education,the emergence and development trend of STEM education theory,and the integration of science education and STEM education ideas.Based on the research situation of STEM,in view of the way elementary school higher grades implement STEM,from the design principle,mind-map and range of the education activities,develop a project-based STEM education inquiry activity.Running through the design and development of STEM education activity projects,and the evaluation of implementation and results,really bring STEM education to the daily teaching in the elementary school higher grades.It provides theoretical reference and practical guidance for schools and teachers that carry out STEM education to better develop STEM education in China.The third chapter mainly elaborates the development ideas of STEM education activities for senior grades in primary schools,including the overall development ideas and activity project design dimensions.STEM teaching model,design principles and evaluation methods of related STEM education activities.The research of this paper is carried out from the following six chapters:The first chapter mainly introduces the background of this study,including the development status of science education,the emergence and development trend of STEM education theory,and the integration of science education and STEM education ideas.In the second chapter,through literature collection,relevant research on STEM is summarized and the theoretical basis of this paper is summarized,that is,constructivism learning concept,pragmatism education thought and multiple intelligence theory,PBL teaching model,and STEM related concept definition,so as to understand and apply STEM education concept more comprehensively and accurately.The third chapter mainly elaborates the development ideas of STEM education activities for senior grades in primary schools,including the overall development ideas and activity project design dimensions.STEM teaching model,design principles and evaluation methods of related STEM education activities.The fourth chapter,mainly based on exploration of STEM in the previous chapter exploration,designs and carry out "plane double loop more straw STEM education activities.Through the analysis of teaching,including learners learning analysis,STEM education activity teaching target analysis,etc.,and in the form of a graph display using 6E teaching mode teaching process design of each section of the activities of the project,STEM,such as knowledge map of specific activity in the project implementation process has carried on the detailed elaboration,and cooperate with the graphic display.The fifth chapter,through classroom observation,analysis of activity record form and feedback of evaluation scale through the implementation process of the activity project of "double-ring multi-straw aircraft",summarizes the implementation results of the activity project in terms of project completion,classroom performance of group members and improvement of students' quality.The sixth chapter,based on the whole paper,finds the defects and deficiencies of the research,puts forward reasonable suggestions for the development of STEM education in primary schools at present and in the future,and forecasts the future trend of STEM education.
