Teaching methodology is the collective name of approaches and means applied by teachers and students in teaching process for the purpose of achieving common objectives and tasks of teaching,which falls into two categories: teaching methodology of teachers and learning methodology of students.It is the unity of teaching and learning.As an important approach to improve efficiency of classroom teaching,and an important condition to stimulate students’ interests in learning,it is explored and concluded by teachers in their practice,and there are rules to follow.As an important window open to the north in China,Erenhot is a trade-oriented port city with merchants from all over the country and Mongolia.History teaching in secondary schools of Erenhot shares some common ground with those in other regions,but it features its own characteristics due to significant difference in nationality,household registration and education background of students.By interviewing some parents of students and investigating some students and teachers of the first and second middle school in Erenhot,the author find the teachers there have some problems such as using thetraditional teaching methods,a short of studies on the teaching method lack of the guidance on the learning method.There are some reasons that caused these problems,the reasons can divided into objective reasons and subjective factor.The objective one is the geographically isolated site,the subjective factors are the teacher’s absence of specialty,the student’s poor performance in learning and the poor leadership of the educational department.By detailed analysis of the reasons,the author offers some suggestions about teachers,students,schools and education management department.On the aspects of teaching method,the author proposed to improve the teaching quality by using modern information technology,such as micro-blog,QQ,We-chat,meanwhile,the author also proposed to use many ways to improve the teaching efficiency,such as group teaching,inquiring teaching cooperative teaching.On the aspect of students,the author proposed to train students a good habit of learning and enhance the quality of education.On the aspects of school,the author proposed integrative management mode to set up and perfect performance appraisal system and to strong then the teachers’ training.On the aspect of education management department,the author proposed to create a healthy environment and the department should play a guiding role in the full.
