Research On The Cultural Endowment Problem Of Urban Community From The Perspective Of Social Work

At present,the rapid growth of the number of elderly population indicates that China has entered the stage of rapid aging.Along with the "silver-haired wave" is the problem of how to meet the multi-level needs of the aged,which is particularly evident in the urban community.China is in the period of building a well-off society in an all-round way.Under this background,the aged live in urban communities can generally meet the basic material needs,the demand for cultural endowment is becoming a trend.As a professional helping method,social work has the unique advantage in the intervention of the cultural endowment problem of urban community and it can be an important supplement to the cultural endowment service of urban community?The cultural endowment of urban community is a kind of pension model takes city community neighborhood jurisdiction as the unit,that provides the aged the cultural endowment service including the elderly entertainment and leisure,emotional communication,learning exchange and preserving health etc.The purpose is to enrich the spiritual world of the aged,improve their own value awareness,enhance their social identities,enhance the sense of happiness in their later years.The theory of social support,the theory of strength perspective and the hierarchy of needs theory are the basic theories of urban community cultural endowment.On this basis,using the method of questionnaire and interview analysis the cultural endowment status of the X community in Daqing.With the development of urban economy and the improvement of the material income of the aged,the elderly have strong demand of cultural endowment for emotional,cultural entertainment,respect and social contacts.However,due to the weakening function of traditional family cultural endowment support,the lag of the public cultural undertakings development and the lack of the professional social workers and volunteers to carry out the cultural endowment activities,the elderly demand of cultural endowment in urban community is far from being met.Case work and group work are the two major methods of social work.The results show that both the case work intervenes the self entertainment type of cultural endowment and the group work intervenes social contacts satisfaction type of cultural endowment play important roles in meeting the demands of cultural endowment urban community.The intervention of social work effectively meeting the elderly demands of the cultural endowment in urban community,improving and supplement the existing deficiencies of urban community pension system,making up for the simplification of urban community pension service,playing a positive role in the improvement of the urban community cultural endowment problems to a certain extent.Also,we can not ignore the effect of improving the offspring's attention to the elderly cultural endowment of urban community,strengthening the social support for the aged of urban communities,strengthening the identity of urban community to social work.
