With the development of national economy,the employment system of China has turned to the “two-way selection” and “free employment".Together with the implementation of Higher Education Enrollment Policy and significant increase of college graduates,the employment problem has become increasingly outstanding.Improving the employability of college students is indeed essential to capture job opportunity among the fierce competition.At the same time,the relevant influence factors of college students' employability have also been widely discussed.The prevailing study on influence factors of learning engagement is relatively abundant while study that focuses on how learning engagement impact upon other factors is extremely scarce.A comprehensive learning engagement can not only enrich the students' knowledge and assist the knowledge hierarchy building process,but also can get the students improved in every aspect.Therefore,it is obviously worthwhile for us to delve into the factors in learning engagement on the input side,which will have significant effects on promoting college students' employability.Consequently,this paper aims to study the mechanism that the different learning engagement dimensions influence employability of college students,and meanwhile adding the mediator variable—academic achievement so as to have a better analysis from the point of human capital stock.This paper uses the combined approach of theoretical analysis and empirical study to probe into the process in which the three dimensions of learning engagement including behavior engagement,emotional engagement,and cognitive engagement affect the college students' occupation ability and occupation development ability,finding out the engagement that has a positive impact on the employability of college students in order to improve the employability of college students.This paper comprehensively discussed the theories and related literatures at home and abroad,and analyzes learning engagement,academic achievement and employability of college students.Through in-depth study of the relations between the three dimensions,exploring learning into the mechanism of the influence of college students' employment ability,and putting forward relevant assumptions build the theoretical model of this article;Analysed the recycling questionnaire data using SPSS21.0,to more clearly reveal the study into the mechanism of action of college students' employment ability,the following main conclusions:First,a college student studying in all components can be a positive impact on college students' employment ability.Among them,the study of the course material input which improve graduates' knowledge accomplishment makes it have basic superiority in competition;During the period of school,taking an active part in quality development activities makes the professionalism of college students more comprehensive,and improve the comprehensive competitiveness;Out of the campus into society,social contact as soon as possible and adapting to the society plays a key role to the improvement of college students' communication ability and strain capacity.Emotional,cognitive input to the university students' employment ability also has a positive influence.Second,the components of academic achievement can be a positive impact on college students' employment ability.The school where students study and the achievement during the period of school is an intuitive factors influencing college students' employment ability,and key universities and the best graduates' careers acquire relatively strong development capability.At the same time,graduates who have rich practical experience and high professional quality in the job and its own development occupy absolute advantage.Third,learning engagement into each dimension has a positive effect on academic achievement.For students,the learning is more positive,the extent is wider,the investment degree is higher and the cognition is clearer.Besides,its corresponding in terms of level of education and professionalism will be higher,at the same time,the enthusiasm of students learning directly affects the harvest in the practice.The learning desire of the students given and learning engagement also directly determine the level of academic achievement.Fourth,the academic achievement has played the intermediary role to the college student employment ability in the university learning engagement.Based on the collected data,after adding the variable of academic achievement,the dimensions of learning engagements has been changed the college students' employment ability,and emotional engagement,behavior engagement and cognitive engagement through academic achievement has indirect effect on their employability.Through the intermediary effect of academic achievement,learning engagement can improve the employability of university students to a greater extent.
