Focusing on the academic achievements of college students and their influencing factors is an essential part of higher education research. While the state focuses on the reform of the education system, students' psychological ability is also a key point that can not be ignored. The psychological capital of college students reflects some deep-seated characteristics and psychological state of students, and learning engagement is the performance of their psychological capital in the learning process. It is of great significance to investigate the learning process of students, rather than simply the academic results and performance of students,as well as the psychological capital and learning engagement of college students.Psychological capital refers to the individual's psychological ability, including the individual's confidence in the completion of the current task, the resilience to recover quickly when encountering difficulties, and the hope and positive attribution to find ways to get rid of difficulties. The two factors exert important influence on academic achievement from different aspects. Therefore, the main task of this paper is to explore the relationship among students' psychological capital, learning engagement and their academic achievements. Some studies have shown that psychological capital has a direct and positive effect on academic achievement, but some studies also believe that there is a buffer effect between them.In order to further explore the role of psychological capital on academic achievement, this paper, through the "psychological capital scale","learning engagement scale" and "academic achievement scale",takes 530 undergraduates in Shanxi Province as samples to conduct a questionnaire survey, and obtains the corresponding data through the collation of the questionnaire,on this basis for analysis.By combing the literature, using the theory of psychological capital and the theory of effort quality as the theoretical basis, the basic framework of influencing factors of academic achievement is obtained,With psychological capital as the independent variable, academic achievement as the dependent variable, and learning engagement as the intermediary variable, the theoretical model is constructed, and the theoretical hypothesis is put forward and verified to clarify the relationship between the three variables.Through literature review and empirical research,we find that, firstly, optimism is the first factor to help students achieve academic achievement, hope and resilience are the important guarantee of high academic achievement,self-efficacy is also an indispensable part to achieve academic goals, but there is imbalance between the four dimensions.Secondly,in the comprehensive evaluation of academic performance, the lack of interpersonal promotion has become the biggest feature of academic achievement structure of college students.Third, psychological capital, learning engagement and academic achievement are significantly correlated, and learning engagement plays a part of intermediary role between psychological capital and academic achievement.Psychological capital can have a positive impact on academic achievement through learning engagement. Therefore, this study believes that we should pay more attention to college students' psychological capital and learning process. To guide the balanced development of College Students' psychological capital and academic achievements requires the joint efforts of universities, families, society and individuals. On the one hand,it is beneficial for college students to understand their own characteristics and promote their academic achievements;on the other hand,it is beneficial for schools, society and families to take appropriate psychological intervention to students,so as to provide guidance for improving their comprehensive learning performance.
