China's vast territory,there is a big difference in the level of development between regions although the country in recent years,increasing the support of basic education in the western areas,but the space of education resources distribution imbalance phenomenon still didn't get the fundamental change.This study is based on the education fair idea,according to the compression of time and space characteristics of information age,taking Bijie of Guizhou Province as an example,gripper for Google Earth,discusses the western mountains in the application of information technology in middle school geography teaching on the basis of the present situation and the existing problems,and to build Google Earth auxiliary suited to the characteristics of the western mountains middle school geography teaching mode,through the design of typical teaching case and verified by my teaching practice,Google Earth in the western mountains in the middle school geography teaching effect and the problems in application,and put forward the improvement measures and suggestions for the existing problems.The research results can provide a case for the application of Google Earth in the western mountainous area in the middle school geography teaching,and provide the theoretical and practical basis for the equalization of educational resources in the information age.First of all,on the basis of the literature survey,this paper introduces the research background and significance of the network information technology era and curriculum reform,analyzes the research status of Google Earth in teaching at home and abroad,and puts forward the research ideas and methods.From the concept of education fairness,education informationization theory,constructivism theory three aspects discusses the Google Earth under the support of the theoretical basis of middle school geography teaching mode.Secondly,Through the practice of mastering the basic functions of the Google Earth,and on the geography of Hunan Education Edition of the 3 compulsory content and the contents of the two elective part of the teaching content and the suitability of Google Earth made a brief analysis,The results show that Google Earth and middle school geography teaching content has a good suitability.Through the investigation of practice and questionnaire,it is found that there are some problems in the teaching of junior middle school geography,low interest in learning,less use of electronic map and unfamiliarity with multimedia operation,and Bijie students want to have an active atmosphere of the classroom atmosphere,the image of intuitive teaching methods.Finally,in reference to the other teaching model on the basis of the design principles and design ideas,put forward suitable for mountain west middle school geography teaching in Google Earth assisted model design principle and process of teaching.And according to the experience of the teaching practice put forward "to explore-cooperation" teaching mode,select the three teaching content,design the typical with practical teaching cases.Combined with the problems and the case proposed from the emphasis on geography,the use of Google Earth teaching function,improve the teaching environment and other aspects to improve the Bijie middle school geography teaching.
