| With the popularization and continuous development of modern information technology,network technology has penetrated into all areas of our lives,and the application of information technology in teaching is becoming more and more extensive.Geography educators are also keen to use information technology to assist geography classroom teaching.Google Earth is a three-dimensional digital earth that integrates remote sensing technology,global positioning technology,and geographic information technology.It carries a wealth of geographic information and has spatial and temporal dynamics.Teachers use it as a teaching tool to assist junior high school geography teaching,which not only helps to reduce their own burden of dealing with teaching difficulties,but also helps to increase students’ interest in geography learning,and reduce students’ resistance and fear of learning difficulties.Existing studies have shown that Google Earth has been widely used in geography teaching.The theory and case studies are relatively mature,but practical research is relatively weak,and the function of integrating with teaching difficulties has not been fully explored,and further exploration and improvement are needed.The full text is divided into the following seven parts:The first part: Introduction.Mainly introduce the research background,research purpose and significance,research status at home and abroad,research methods and technical routes.The second part: Introduction and theoretical basis of Google Earth software.Mainly introduce the Google Earth operation interface,several practical functions of Google Earth in geography teaching and its advantages in geography teaching,and analyze the feasibility.The third part: Investigation and research on the application status of Google Earth in junior high school geography teaching in Guizhou Provi nce.Through questionnaires,the survey found that the junior high school geography teachers in Guizhou Province have a low level of understandin g of the Google Earth software.Teachers of different genders,teaching ag es,educational backgrounds,and majors have different levels of understa nding of the software;teachers use the software in the classroom less ofte n and The use of software functions is relatively simple;teachers believe t hat Google Earth can improve students’ interest in geography learning an d test scores,but it plays a general role in improving classroom efficiency.The main reasons for the impact include school teaching equipment,the characteristics of the software itself,and the teacher’s own geographic inf ormation literacy.The fourth part: Analysis of difficult points in junior high school geography teaching.Taking the knowledge level clearly required by the behavior verbs in the junior high school geography curriculum standards as a reference,the "standards" are listed in order and a questionnaire is made to investigate teachers’ views on the difficulties of teaching on the "standards",combined with interviews with frontline teachers and teachers The way of combing the literature has gotten difficult points in junior high school geography teaching.Difficulties in teaching are divided into three categories,namely: abstract geographic concepts and geographic principles,geographic phenomena far away from student life,and complex content that requires a lot of memory.The fifth part: Design and Implementation of Application Cases of Google Earth in Teaching Difficulties.Based on the teaching difficulties recognized by the current teachers,combined with the multiple functions of Google Earth,explore the specific application of Google Earth in the teaching content of "abstract geographic concepts and geographic principles",and design the "longitude and latitude lines and longitude and latitude","Contour topographic maps" and "Asia’s natural environment" are examples of Google Earth-assisted geography teaching difficult cases.The sixth part: The experimental research of Google Earth in the difficult points of junior middle school geography teaching.The two cases of "latitude and longitude and latitude and longitude" and "topographic map of contour lines" are used to conduct practical research in the classroom.Evaluate the application effect of Google Earth through interview method,comparative method.The results show that: Google Earth teaching can improve students’ interest in geography learning and test scores;the application of Google Earth in junior middle school geography teaching is feasible and popular.The seventh part: Conclusions and prospects.Combining the pape r’s questionnaire survey and experimental research results,the research c onclusions are summarized,and several suggestions for the application o f Google Earth in the difficult points of junior high school geography teac hing are put forward,including the correct handling of the relationship be tween the teaching content and
