Teaching reflection is an important way to promote the teacher professional development and improve the teachers' quality,which is one of the essential qualities for modern teachers.Nowadays,the economy,culture and education are changing rapidly,therefore teaching reflection plays a pivotal role in improving the teachers' own teaching level and the teaching effect.This study selected 280 beginning teachers as the research object who are from primary schools in Taiyuan,Shanxi Province.This study deeply investigated the current status of teachers' teaching reflection by the means of questionnaire,interview and text analysis,and also analyzed the existing problems of teaching reflection and the causes of problems.And this study finally put forward reasonable suggestions,trying to improve beginning teachers' teaching reflection and promote their professional development in primary school.This study is divided into four parts.The first part is problem posing,including the research background,a review of related researches at home and abroad,research purpose and its significance,research methods and the process.The second part is the conceptual definition and theoretical basis,mainly introducing three concepts of reflection,teaching reflection,and beginning teachers,and expounding four main theoretical basis of critical theory,reflective teaching theory,meta-cognitive theory,and constructivist theory.The third part is the core part of this study,which analyzed the current status of beginning teachers' teaching reflection in primary school in Taiyuan from five aspects: the understanding of teaching reflection,the attitude of teaching reflection,the frequency and time of teaching reflection,the method of teaching reflection and the content of teaching reflection.At the same time,this study summed up five problems from teaching reflection,including the limitation of the awareness of teaching reflection,lacking correct attitude to teaching reflection,not timely teaching reflection,uneven and improper methods used in the teachingreflection,and lacking breadth and depth in the content of teaching reflection.Based on the above,this study analyzed the causes of problems.Subjective reasons include lacking clear self-development direction and work enthusiasm,lacking correct ideas of reflection and good reflection habits,lacking theoretical training and reflection skills;and objective reasons include lacking reflection time due to busy work,lacking relevant guidance and training,lacking perfect evaluation and management system and reflection atmosphere.The fourth part is to put forward the rational suggestions according to the existing problems from the beginning teachers' teaching reflection:the teachers' own reflection strategy construction includes stimulating the work enthusiasm and enhancing the sense of responsibility,establishing a sense of reflection and developing a good habit of reflection,strengthening theoretical study and improving reflection skills.And the external environment construction of teaching reflections includes reducing the burden on teachers to prompt them to have reflection time and space,focusing on reflective guidance and increasing training,improving the system construction and creating a good environment for reflection.
