Extra-curricular reading as an important way to improve the language quality of primary school students,it is important to cultivate students' language organizational ability,emotional expression ability,writing ability,autonomous learning ability,help students to form good moral quality and sound personality.Therefore,this paper focuses on the in-depth study of students' extracurricular reading in Xinyang city,using the methods of interview and questionnaire,to investigate the extracurricular reading of several primary school students in Xinyang city.And the interview to part of the parents and teachers of the survey,from students,teachers,schools,family four aspects of students reading status of the reasons analysis,students' extracurricular books choice is not consistent with their age and mind;Wrong way of reading;Due to insufficient research and lack of knowledge,teachers are unable to arouse their interest in reading;In the promotion and encouragement of extra-curricular reading often lack of necessary overall planning,extra-curricular reading activities formal,Become apparent;The parents pay attention to the students' extra-curricular reading,the lack of the relationship between home and school lead to some prominent problems in the current primary school students' language reading.As the leader of primary school students' education,the role of teachers in the development and habit of extracurricular reading is self-evident.Teachers should combine the actual situation of students,should take the situation of students,and actively train students' extracurricular reading habits,recommend books for pupils of different ages,guide pupils to read correctly,promote students' active and positive extracurricular reading,play their subjective initiative in reading,and cultivate their own ability.This paper puts forward the educational teaching strategy from the perspective of teachers' perspective on how to cultivate students' extracurricular reading ability,recommends reading books suitable for senior students,aiming to improve the status of extracurricular reading of primary school students,so that extracurricular reading can be widely promoted in primary school students.
