The extracurricular reading of upper primary school students has been placed in a prominent position in the education sector.In this study,we use the questionnaire survey method,the interview method and the data analysis method,and take the X primary school of Suzhou Industrial Park as an example to investigate the extracurricular reading situation of the freshmen in primary and secondary schools.Through investigation,to identify problems and analyze their causes.The study also collected,including the Suzhou Industrial Park X primary school,including 10 primary school extracurricular reading recommended books,with reference to the Ministry of Education promulgated the "primary school students bibliography" document,the ten books for comparative analysis.Finally,from the beginning of the reading,the process,the results of the three major aspects,put forward the corresponding improvement proposals.This thesis is divided into three parts: introduction,theory and conclusion.In the introduction part,the background,the theoretical basis,the research method and the literature review are introduced.The first chapter introduces the three aspects of cognitive characteristics,reading development characteristics and extracurricular reading value of senior high school students.The second chapter is the main part of this study.Taking the X school of Suzhou Industrial Park as an example,the students of high school students are interested in reading and learning from extracurricular reading,reading time and content,reading methods and habits,and reading books The development of the parent teacher's reading guidance and other five aspects of the status show and found that the current high school students in extracurricular reading there is a sense of interest to read,lack of reading time to read the lack of reading methods lack of planning and a single method,Book form is not standardized and other issues,and the reasons for the problem were analyzed.In the conclusion part,this study puts forward some suggestions on improving the quality of extracurricular reading and improving the comprehensive literacy of the students.
