Reading facilitates the process of cultivating students' aesthetic ability and lays the foundation of writing.Reading teaching is a significant part of Chinese teaching in the middle school.Reading teaching can not only function as reading instructions and training but also help students increase their accumulation of knowledge,increase their experience and cultivate their language sense.Reading teaching intend the students to dig into texts and think actively,they then receives emotional edification.Undoubtedly,an effective reading class is the key.to improving students' reading ability and enhancing their aesthetic taste.In the meantime,effective reading teaching in the middle school should also respect the development of students,personalities,be open to students of all kinds and advocate an independent,collaborative and inquiry learning.Therefore,it is imperative to find out a way to improve the efficiency of reading teaching.According to teaching principles,the "three and five" teaching pattern is a new effective teaching pattern on the basis of East Campus of Yangzhou University Affiliated Middle School."three" means three focal points,including the preview before class,students' dominance in class and feedback from students."Five"represents the five steps which are introducing new class and making goals definite,self-learning and commenting,questioning and identifying the key content,inspiring and concluding and feeding back and achieving different goals.The core of putting this teaching pattern into practice is the emphasis of three points which are students' initiative,the teacher's pertinence and the effectiveness of the class.This article studies the current employment of "three and five" reading teaching pattern to discuss the maneuverability strategy of creating an effective class.This article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,including putting forward the question,the aim and meaning of the research,thecurrent researching situation,the range and method of the research and the identification of main concepts.The second chapter deals with the background and basis of "three and four" Chinese reading teaching pattern in the middle school.The third chapter discusses the current situation of Chinese reading teaching pattern in the East Campus of Yangzhou University Affiliated Middle School.It can be divided into five parts.The first part is a basic introduction of the subjects which include the school,the teachers and the students.The second part contains the basic elements of of the "three and five" reading teaching pattern and I will analyze them in three focal points and five steps.The third part introduces the implementation"three and five" reading teaching pattern which is concerned with the carry-out of three focal points and five steps.The fourth part mainly deals with the outcome of"three and four" Chinese reading teaching pattern in the middle school and it elaborates the changes in students and the teacher.The last part discusses several problems.of "three and four" Chinese reading teaching pattern in the middle school.In the fourth chapter,i propose some suggestions concerning "three and four"Chinese reading teaching pattern in the East Campus of Yangzhou University Affiliated Middle School.This chapter contains five parts as follows:choosing teaching patterns flexibly according to the teaching content,commenting on and correcting students' homework promptly,reinforcing the teacher's control of the class,instructing the students to learn by themselves at length and help the underachievers adjust their attitudes.
