With the widespread implementation of new curriculum reform,students themselves has got more and more attention.The core of the new curriculum idea is " student-oriented," it demands " everything for the development of students".This requires that education should focus on the development of each student,to make every student's potential into full play,thus the underachiever problem undoubtedly become a difficult problem which the general education workers need to face and solve.The emergence of the underachiever almost inevitable,they are widespread in the class.But what needs to be emphasized is that the junior is just a kind of phenomenon,rather than substance.The underachiever's transformation is not only the hope and the appeal of the public,also is the need of the improvement of national quality,especially the underachiever in junior middle school stage,because of the particularity of its physical and mental development and the importance of the development stage,more attention should be received.Educators should establish a correct concept of education,perfecting the education method,to radically reform,turely make the underachiever get transformation.Scholars at home and abroad has carried on a lot of theoretical and empirical studies on the connotation,manifestation,cause and countermeasure of the underachiever,provided a basis for the follow-up study of the underachiever and the first-line teaching work.Based on this,this study makes the underachiever connotation as the breakthrough point,deeply exploring the problems of learning underachiever in junior middle school in alliance with literature.At the same time,this study uses the questionnaire survey and interview survey method to investigate junior middle school students and teachers respectively,makes division on different types of learning underachiever in junior middle school through the analysis of survey data,and sums up the common characteristics of learning underachiever in junior middle school.According to the characteristics of the learning underachiever's performance,its main causes are family,school and students themselves this three aspects.On this basis,this study puts forward several policies as follows: Firstly,schools should set up a correct education idea,and implement it to the specific management work,manage teachers and students democratically.Teachers should make an example and teach students in accordance of their aptitude,truly appreciated and help the underachiever onthe concept and behavior.Secondly,parents should pay attention to the renewal of educational ideas,the improvement of education mode,the promotion of self-quality and the shaping of family environment.Thirdly,teachers should pay attention to learning methods,cultivate students' self-study ability,help students to attribute accurately,strengthen the ability of self-education,besides,strengthen the mental health education of the underachiever.Education of learning underachiever in junior middle school needs to integrate various education,joint efforts,so can we make the underachiever ‘s transformation become a reality.
