Chinese and Mongolian belong to different language families,the former belongs to the Sino Tibetan language,the latter belongs to Altai language.There are some similarities in the overall structure of syllable between the two languages,but there are also a large of differences in some other aspects,for example: in the specific form of phoneme;in the methods of and pronunciation;in the different places of articulation;especially in the Chinese tone,which is not exist in Mongolian language,therefore,when Mongolian students learn Chinese,they are faced with many difficulties in the process of learning Chinese to some degree.This paper gives a detailed comparative analysis of similarities and differences between Chinese phonetic system and Mongolian phonetic system,and tries to find out the reasons of the Phonetic Errors,then puts forward the corresponding teaching strategies and provides a teaching design,according to the analysis of Pronunciation Errors produced by Mongolian students through the phonetic investigation and experiments.This paper is divided into following five chapters:The first chapter is introduction.The second chapter mainly gives a detailed comparison of Chinese language system and Mongolian language system from three parts:initials,finals and tone?In the third chapter,the author makes a phonetic experiment on the students of grade five in Atlanta middle school in Mongolia,Ulan Bator,and analyzes the Phonetic Errors produced by the students in the phonetic investigation and experiments,according to the statistics and results analyzed by software praat.The fourth chapter mainly gives a detailed analysis of the reasons why Mongolian students make Chinese Phonetic Errors,from many aspects: the influence of mother language;the feature of Chinese language;the limit of Chinese teachers and teaching material;the background of learning Chinese and the individual differences of Chinese language learners.In the fifth chapter,the author puts forward the concrete solutions to the problems and gives a teaching design,based on the practical situation of Chinese teaching in Mongolia.
