In order to further improve the quality of bilingual education in Xinjiang,the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Education Department and the People's Education Publishing House jointly developed the bilingual "Chinese" textbook in Xinjiang,which has been published since 2013.The research object of this paper is the textbook of Xinjiang primary school Chinese textbook,which not only retains the advantages of human language teaching materials,but also has distinct characteristics of Xinjiang.The Chinese level and cultural psychology of minority students as well as the faculty of bilingual education in Xinjiang have been fully considered in this teaching material.Other content relating to folk customs and natural landscape of Xinjiang is also added into this textbook.In addition,it inserted a large number of illustrations which are well designed,exquisitely drawn,and full of distinguishing ethnic feature and regional characteristics.The illustrations are important teaching resources of the low-level Chinese courses.Full and effective use of illustrations has a great significance to improve the quality of teaching,cultivate students' comprehensive ability,and to stimulate students' interest in Chinese learning.This paper mainly studies the illustrations of the Xinjiang special primary Chinese textbooks published by People's Education Press,studies the characteristics the existing problems of the illustrations.The comments and suggestions are further provided.The thesis is divided into four parts.The introduction mainly makes a simple combing of the origin,research significance and research status of the research,and defines the basic concepts involved in this study.The first chapter gives a General description of the Xinjiang special primary Chinese textbook illustrations,it quantifies the number of illustrations and makes a classification.The research of this part is the basis of this thesis.The second chapter mainly summarizes the characteristics and advantages of the illustrations of Xinjiang special primary Chinese textbook by study educational function,cultivate comprehensive ability function,explain function,fun increasing function,decorative function,promote national unity function and other basic functions,from the times,matching,the position of illustrations,geographical features and vivid features of illustrations these aspects.In the third chapter,the author puts forward some opinions and suggestions on the existing problems of the Xinjiang special primary Chinese textbook,so as to put forward some suggestions for the construction of local teaching materials.
