| Illustration plays an important role in cultivating students’ artistic appreciation,humanistic emotion and Chinese competence.Elaborately designed illustrations in primary school Chinese textbooks are important teaching resources,well suiting the curriculum standards and psychological characteristics of primary school students,which can help children better understand the text content,and cultivate students’ observation ability,imagination,language expression and writing skills.The primary school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry are the primary school Chinese textbooks that will be used uniformly throughout the country.It is meaningful to study its illustrations and give some teaching suggestions to teachers based on teaching experience.The paper first introduces the research aim,and then the general research situation across the country and abroad as well as research scope and methods.Next,count the number,types and genres of illustrations in the primary school Chinese textbooks.After analyzing the layout,coloring and contents,it comes to a conclusion that these illustrations in the primary school Chinese textbooks are suitable for the current trend and psychological traits of primary school students.Then,it introduces the application of the textbook illustrations in the low period Chinese teaching of HongLian primary school in Xi Shan district,Kunming city by conducting a questionnaire survey among teachers and students,analyzing the results and summarizing what has achieved and unfinished.Combined with teaching experience and cases,it finally comes to tips on how to use illustrations in the low period primary school Chinese teaching.1.Make a diverse use of illustrations.2.Teachers should master how to well use illustrations.3.Avoid the misuse and abuse of illustrations.Last,according to the survey and interview,greater importance is hoped to be attached to teachers during the review period of final exam.The subjects of this paper are urban primary schools,whose students are migrant children.It is hoped that the teaching suggestions will be of help to schools of its kind,and let more teachers can value illustrations and take advantage of them in teaching. |
