Chinese textbook is an important reference for middle school students to learn Chinese and Chinese traditional culture.The quality of classical Chinese chosen in the textbook relates to students' comprehension of the corresponding classical Chinese.Therefore,it is of great necessity to make research on the classical Chinese chosen in the Chinese textbook from different aspects.From the comparison of PEP Chinese book,Jiangsu's Chinese book and Guangdong's Chinese textbook in senior high school,we could find that the difficulty levels in the three kinds of books are roughly the same,though in some classical Chinese articles,the Jiangsu edition and the Guangdong edition are more difficult than the PEP,which are mainly manifested in five aspects.First,the articles chosen are different in the essence.Second,students learn the same article in different time.Last but not the least,there are much differences in the arrangement of all the articles in the textbook,the proportion of the classical Chinese in the textbook and the background history of the authors.The classical Chinese articles in the three versions of Chinese Textbooks are classical and the arrangement of them is innovative,including all the knowledge points in the full-time ordinary senior middle school Chinese Teaching Syllabus.However,the orders of some articles do not follow the rule that easy things first and few thing first.At the same time,some 17 pieces of classical Chinese texts are chosen in all the three versions of Chinese textbooks,but there are nine different aspects,mainly expressed in the learning period,the length of the article,the version of the article,the choices of some words,the paragraph of the article,the explanation of some words and the exercise after class.In a word,the explanation of words in PEP Chinese book is more accurate,but it doesn't point out the references.The exercise in Jiangsu's Chinese book is quite creative and comprehensive,but the arrangement of the articles needs consideration.The explanations of words in Guangdong's Chinese textbook have more problems,but it concludes many different ideas and knowledge points.There are two main big problems in the explanations of the classical Chinese in the three versions of Chinese book.One is that the learning of the pair of ancient and modern words,the pare of variant Chinese characters and the pair of interchangeable words.The other is that some of the explanations are wrong.Because classical Chinese has long history,mistakes and misunderstand can seriously lead to the wrong comprehension of the classical Chinese in the minds of students.At present,the teaching situation of classical Chinese is not optimistic.Most of the students have little interest and high worrying in classical Chinese and teachers' teaching mode is a single and boring.This will inevitably lead to vicious spiral.This kind of vicious spiral surly has bad influence on the inheritance of outstanding classical Chinese culture.Thus,this thesis will five suggestions on how to edit the Chinese textbook.First of all,the teaching materials should be the most classical and excellent.And the version of the articles should be authoritative.Then arrangement of quantity and learning period should be scientific and rational.Next,the explanation of words should be accurate.Finally,we should emphasize the innovation of the exercises.Only in these ways,can the students inherit ate the traditional culture.
