| Positive Psychology,the new research trend,gained its popularity in the field of psychology at the end of 20 th century,which focuses on the study of human being’s positive characters including virtues and potentials.Meanwhile,it advocates the orientation of positivity,as well as the development of human’s attributes.Also,it lays emphasis on the value of human being’s,humanistic care,and the reinforcement of the sense of happiness.Directly,due to this,the stance of education has been changed.More relevantly,the positive psychology advocates the stance of growth and development,which sets itself apart from the traditional problems-concerning stance.Moreover,under the stress of the education attributed to NCEE,the process of teaching and receiving contains no happiness but the pressure,by which fearful atmosphere of the classroom has been made,thus bringing about the restriction of mental development.Therefore,if this theory is adopted to design the class in the teaching-receiving process,in which positive remarks and behaviors are involved and students are motivated,in which the positive feedback to students are given,the structure of class will be optimized and,to some extent,both teachers and students will be liberated.Also,the theory,if applied to practice,will alleviate student’s mood of study-weariness and boost their motivation.Therefore,how to motivate students and shake off their fear comes as an important project in the practice of the chemistry teaching of senior schools.This project is based on the practical contrast investigation of two common classes which share the number and the gender ratio,also,the average score,of one school,in the same grade,after the division of Arts and Science in September 2015,lasting for a year and a half.In this investigation,class No.10 appears as the control group,only receiving the traditional pedagogy;class No.11,as the study group,receives the pervasive positive pedagogy by building the fear-free atmosphere and cultivating confidence and the ability of cooperation,and,also,motivating the students.Finally,the conclusion is drawn from scores of the tests held by the school and the Ministry of Education,as well as the result of survey on students’ sense of happiness,by comparing the contents of the both classes.Eventually,it comes as the conclusion that among the students of the study group,the positive experience,especially of the confidence and the motivation,as well as the quality of the tests held by the grade and the city,is obviously ameliorated,by contrast of the control group.Totally,this lecture consists of 5 parts.The first part offers the background and the study currency both at home and abroad;the second part casts clear light on the concepts and the features of Positive Psychology;the third part expounds strategies and methods in the practice of chemistry teaching,guided by the theory of Positive Psychology;the fourth part describes in details the specific measures taken in the practice of chemistry teaching,revolving around Positive Psychology;the fifth part comes as a reflection of the teaching process improved by Positive Psychology by analyzing the data involved,and also appears as a prospect for the further study in the future. |
