As an important part of the teaching process,the design of homework has appealed to more and more scholar and educators.As is known to us all,junior high school is the primary school and high school ties,is a student learning a critical period,as the result of which,the importance of the design of the homework must be stressed.Students' thinking cannot be restricted.The ideas about fanciful imagination and open minds which have been proposed in the primary school are still needed.Therefore,the research on the problems of the design of math open homework in junior high school,the principles and strategies required by it is very necessary.First,by consulting literature and using the questionnaires and the interviewing method,some common features that most math homework in the junior school had were found:(1)The mathematical word problem and the calculations were the main types of questions.What's more,the number of questions was large.(2)The content of the homework was single,mainly used to consolidate the knowledge of the day,most of which was repetitive training.(3)Students' homework was strictly valued by the contents of the textbooks.Furthermore,it was not the process but the results that was attached more importance to.(4)Students were asked to finish the homework within one day or on the weekend on their own.To solve the questions above,the design of math open homework in junior high school should be improved and four principles(the principle of autonomy,the principle of science,the principle of process,the principle of interest)should be put forward.Also,the following strategies ought to be paid attention to:(1)Improving students' attention to math open homework.(2)Refining the open elements.(3)Using open elements scientifically.(4)Attaching importance to the process and evaluation.
