With the change of social and economic situation and the impact of college enrollment and other factors,local college freshmen's employment pressure,living pressure and learning pressure is increasing,resulting in some students have mental health problems.Music as a kind of good at expressing emotions,dialing the heart of the heart of the art,can effectively help college freshmen to reduce stress,ease bad mood,promote interpersonal harmony,reduce psychological anxiety and depression and other psychological sub-health symptoms.This paper is based on this big premise,to Hunan College of Humanities and Technology 2014 new students psychological factors abnormal part of the students as the object of study,to explore the music appreciation and treatment of local college students the possibility of mental health problems.The main body of the paper consists of four parts:The first part discusses the psychological process of music appreciation,the intellectual function of music appreciation and the clinical practice of music appreciation.Then,it discusses the application of music appreciation in the new students' mental health education in Hunan province,and introduces the technical conditions of music appreciation,Value goals and practices.The second part is the analysis of the status quo of freshmen 's mental health of Hunan humanities and technology college.First,the results of psychological general test(SCL-90)were analyzed statistically.Secondly,according to the general results and the actual situation of the college,the author explored the factors that caused the mental health problems of the local college freshmen,Including the gap between ideal and reality,the gap between the learning environment and the influence of emotional and incidental events.The third part of the psychological general test results of music appreciation and college freshmen mental health education experimental study.First,we designed the experimental model of music appreciation and mental health education,including the selection of samples,spss7.0 analysis tools,music appreciation tracks,and developed a detailed experimental program;then the results of the test results before and after the data analysis and academic analysis TheIn the fourth part,according to the experimental results of the previous part,the paper puts forward the application of music appreciation in the training of freshmen's mental health education in local colleges and universities,that is,constructing a diversified and systematic music appreciation activity model,improving the hardware and software facilities of music appreciation activities,Multi-stake in the common participation of mental health control system.In conclusion,the effect of music appreciation on college students' mental health is remarkable,especially for depression,followed by somatization,interpersonal sensitivity,psychosis and paranoia.It can effectively improve the mental health of college students.Local colleges and universities should use this as a reference means to solve the problem of college students' mental health.
