Education is a fundamental task crucial for generations to come.Education is the cornerstone of national rejuvenation and social progress.Supply of education is correlated with quality of people,cultivation of talents and enhancement of national power in China.After entering into the new normal,the contradiction between supply and demand appears in China's economy,inhabiting growth of productivity.An objective reality in education during “13th Five-Year” period is the imbalance between supply and demand of education with insufficient resources and low utilization.In order to change the downturn of education productivity,Supply-side structural reform must be carried out,actively approaching the new normal of economic development.Guiding the new normal and adapting to the terrain could truly reflect improvement and promotion of compulsory education quality.Adopting a combination of multi-disciplinary knowledge and documentary method as well as empirical study,this paper constructs indicator system of supply efficiency of compulsory education from theory to practice from the perspective of empirical research,making a systematic study on supply efficiency of compulsory education in China.Firstly,this paper analyzes and expounds relevant core concepts of supply efficiency of compulsory education,laying footing stone for the following work.Then,this paper introduces correlation theories of data envelopment analysis(DEA),obtaining applicability of DEA in supply efficiency of compulsory education.Furthermore,this paper constructs theoretical indicator system of supply efficiency of compulsory education.This paper utilizes theoretical indicator system of supply efficiency of compulsory education to conduct chi-square test,and reliability tests of Bartlett degree of sphericity and indicator system.The ultimate practice indicator of supply efficiency of compulsory education is determined,and the indicator system includes input indicator and output indicator.Eventually,this paper adopts DEA to analyze inter-provincial differences and three main regional differences in supply efficiency of compulsory education in China on the basis of constructing the indicator systems of input and output.Panel data of various provinces in China from 2005 to 2014 are selected to analyze supply efficiency difference of compulsory education and spatial dynamics variation trend of various provinces in China during the ten years.The supply efficiency and its decomposition of compulsory education in China are obtained,in light of Malmquist total factor productivity index.This paper finds out improvement direction of non-DEA effective decision making units,expecting to be conducive to promoting healthy development of compulsory education in China to some extent.Effectiveness of compulsory education supply in China is evaluated from the macro and micro level.In the process of constructing the indicator system of compulsory education,this paper tests applicability of indicators and ensures scientific rigorousness as well as feasibility of DEA evaluation method,proving the certain value of the research of this paper.The last chapter summarizes research conclusions of this paper and proposes policy suggestions,aiming to improve supply efficiency of compulsory education and realize the effectiveness of DEA supply of compulsory education in China.
