Research On Problems And Reforms Of University Set System

Student evaluation of teaching(SET)is an activity that students judge the value of their teachers' teaching performance,and it is of great significance for the professional development of teachers,enhance of students' ability and the improvement of school management.At present,students' evaluation of teaching has become an indispensable part of the internal quality assurance system of Universities in our country.However,from the implementation of SET,there are many problems,such as the controversy of its rationality,the low effectiveness and it is more and more formalistic.This paper explains and reveals problems of SET and related reasons from the perspective of educational evaluation system,and explains development of the theory and practice of SET from the perspective of system reform.Educational system is the rule and regulation system that stipulates who leads,organizes and implements SET and its tools,methods,time and results feedback.Currently,the SET system is administration oriented,it emphasizes on the effectiveness and efficiency of the educational administration,control of teaching and learning behaviors,resulting in homogeneous,utilitarian and lack of education and humanistic concern problems,and the problems serious impact on the effectiveness of SET.To improve the effectiveness of SET,ameliorate the internal teaching quality assurance system in Universities and give full play to the function of SET to promote the professional development of teachers and improve students' ability,we must reform the current SET system,and the first step of reform is to clear the reform ideas.People-oriented idea is a kind of value orientation,which emphasizes the value of human beings and interprets the true meaning of education.It pays attention to the value of human beings by means of evaluation,it's not to suppress and control people's behavior.On the implementation path of SET system reform,people-oriented SET should adhere to developmental evaluation,diversification of governance,diversification and hierarchy of teaching evaluation standard,diversified evaluation model and methods and SET results feedback specialization.We should pay more attention to the guiding and promoting role of evaluation idea on the development of SET theory and practice,positively introduce the idea of people-oriented evaluation,building a people-oriented SET system.Measures of SETsystem reform mainly include that we should establish a democratic and people-oriented management environment,make SET institution and personnel professional and increase the leading role of academic power.Reforming the SET system from administration-centered to people-centered is of great significance to overcome the current shortcomings of SET,improve teaching effectiveness,promote health and deep development of SET theory and practice.
