The Study Of Competitiveness Evolution On Development Of Universities

Competitiveness is an important measure of measuring an university' ability.To make sure the formation mechanism and development trend of university competitiveness is important for coordinating the relationship between interests and education and realizing the comprehensive function of universities.At present,the research of university competitiveness theory mainly focuses on the concept researching,competitiveness evaluation and reform measures,and the development and evolution of university competitiveness,while there are seldom researchers with the perspective of system,dynamic and development.This paper analyzes the evolution of university competitiveness by absorbing and drawing the relevant research results of organizational competitiveness,and reveals the general evolution of university competitiveness,which is based on the university's resources,abilities and reputation.The research mainly uses the case analysis method to discuss the change of university in the two dimensions of academic geographical distribution and organizational service abilities.The paper sums up the general characteristics of universities competitiveness.First,the university's competitiveness is the accumulation of sand into the tower,and is advancing with times.Under the environmental factors of internal and external,the core competitiveness elements of university always change.Second,the evolution of university competitiveness follows the evolution of general organizational competitiveness,but has two characters that "low destructive" and "reputation formed by long time" of the organization,which is different from the enterprise.university is so pursuing of truth and benefiting for human and social,that cause the slower competition speed and more moderate of competition process.Third,for a university,the competitive state varies with the development stage.There are three general situations:competitive state,no competitive state and competitive point.Also,the competitive situation affects the reform direction and the level of the school.With the information transformation and the deepening of the globalization procedure,the future of universities competitiveness has two growth points:one is the network education which provide a potential competitive resources for university,that impact on the universities revolution 1.The other is the research literature cited rate and impact force with criteria of different language,which may become one of the potential evaluation index of university competitiveness.
