A Study On Subjective Well-being Of Migrant Workers From The Perspective Of Social Work

The 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the idea of building up the well-off society in an all-round way.The Fifth Plenary Session of the Eighteenth Central Committee of the Party will mainly deploy the work of building up a well-off society.A true well-off society should be a happy society for the people.Because the migrant workersare the important force to promote urban progress and prosperity,their happiness should be valued in a well-off society.First of all,this paper investigates the personality characteristics of subjective well-being of migrant workers in Dongsheng.In this paper,the method of single factor analysis of variance(ANOVA)is used to analyze the differences of migrant workers' subjective well-being considering gender,marital status,age,educational level,housing type,occupation,monthly income and health status.The results show that only the health status will have a significant impact on the total score of subjective well-being of migrant workers.But the score of certain dimensions in subjective well-being has significant differences among different variables.Through comparing the average value of subjective well-being of migrant workers with the subjective well-being of the local staff,it is found that the subjective well-being of migrant workers is lower than that of the local migrant workers.Significant differences exist in the following three dimensions:growth and progress,mental health dimension and balance of mind,and the score of local workers in these three dimensions is significantly higher than that of migrant workers.There are no significant differences in the dimensions of social confidence,target value,interpersonal adaptation,self-acceptance,family atmosphere five dimensions.Secondly,this paper observes and analyses the subjective well-being of migrant workers in their ecological environment and explores the common problem of this group's subjective happiness from the perspective of social support theory,which includes subjective support,objective support,the use of support.Finally,considering the existence of the subjective well-being of migrant workers,combinaing their individual characteristics,this paper puts forward the feasible method of social work to improve the subjective well-being of migrant workers effectively.
