| The new round of fundamental educational curriculum revolution made the plural meanings for the geography textbook(GT)editing.The variety versions of high school GTs kept the quality improving.It changed the format to combination of words and pictures instead of the words only format.As well,many editors preferred to add some case analysis into the textbook,which made it more open-minded.However,it is necessary to have the second round development of GT due to the differences of students’ knowledge level,the variety of teaching resources,and different kinds of textbooks.After reviewing and searching on the relevant resources,I had some promising findings on the second round development of GTs.For instance,the editors developed GTs based on the students’ needs,the knowledge of countryside,and the curriculum activities.Whereas,very few of those development is on the basis of the requirement of College Entrance Examination(CEE).CEE is the most significant assessment for high school geography teaching and the major standard for students to enter college or universities.Thus it reflects most practicalmeanings for both teachers and students.As concluded,I state that the second round development of GTs is an empirical and valuable research topic.In recent years,CEE established new requirement for students’ geographic subject knowledge and ability.While the daily teaching usually does not fulfill its requirement particularly among freshman and sophomore high school students,which leads to great confusion for student: they learned to understand but not able to pass the test.Regarding to this dilemma,I did further analysis on the reasons of student’s confusion on geography study,under the basis of previous research findings and the conclusion of current status of the second round high school GT development.Furthermore,I come up with the idea of the second the second round high school GT development focused on the CEE.This paper mainly includes six parts:(1)the first part detailed states the introduction,the background and meaning of this topic,the domestic and foreign research,the research method applied to this paper;(2)the second part defines the concept of the second round GT development and discovers the theoretical foundation of this research from all multiple aspects,such as education,phycology,geography pedogogy,andthe standard of high school geography test.(3)The third part of this paper is to have comprehensive analysis for the second round development of GTs in regard to CEE requirements.And I did the survey on the status quo of senior high school students’ learning and second round development of GTs in regard to CEE requirements in the fourth part,so that I could find out the current status and the concerns exiting in the second round development of GTs.(4)the fourth part,aiming at the existing problems in the investigation of the current situation,in the full analysis of causes on the basis of the proposed process model of two development of college entrance examination oriented geography textbooks(5)the fifth part,combined with the above proposed development model,analyses the practice of the typical case of a textbook,and summary and Reflection on the application effect of development mode in practical teaching.At present,study on the secondary development of textbooks for college entrance examination by scholars is less involved in the research field,the specific data can be referred is less too,due to lack of time and theoretical foundation,this research is still very superficial,the discussion is not enough in-depth and comprehensive,also needto practice teaching in a further verification. |
