The Study On The Relationship Between Self-care Ability And Parental Rearing Concept In The Rural Areas Of Huaibei City

as everyone knows,infancy is not only a critical period of growth and development of an infant,but also the best time of the development of infant’s self-care ability,and it is the first step in the independent development of an infant,infancy is also one of the basic quality of the comprehensive development of an infant.Self-care ability and self-servicing are necessary in the process of growing from ‘natural person’ to ‘social person’.Though the parental rearing concept is not the only factor affecting an infant’s self-care ability among the factors of family,but ‘parents are their children’s first teachers’,as people who stay with children all day long,parents undertake the important responsibility in educating their infants.Parental rearing behavior directly affects the healthy growth of infants,and as an important factor in guiding rearing behavior,parental rearing concept is the core factor of family education.And because rearing concept is the epistemological basis of rearing behavior and rearing style,parental rearing concept determines the goal and attitude in educating their infants,and has an influence in the establishment of a good parent-child relationship.Therefore,the parental rearing concept has an impact on the development of infants from a macro perspective,and plays a decisive role in the formation and development of the infants’ self-care ability,and ultimately affects the healthy development of their infants.This study is based on the objects of parents and infants in rural areas of Huaibei City.We take series of research on the status of parental rearing concept and infants’ ability of self-care in rural area of Huaibei City,synthetically using literature analysis and questionnaire surveys,and we discover that:(1)Both of parental rearing concept and infants’ ability of self-care in rural area of Huaibei City are at upper middle level.(2)In rural area of Huaibei City,parental rearing concept has no significant difference in gender,but has partial significant difference in other variables likes: education,gender,age,class and whether or not the only child.(3)An infant’ ability of self-care has no significant difference in the variables of mother,father or its gender,but has partial significant difference in other variables likes: Parents’ educational level,age,class and whether it is the only baby.(4)Parental rearing concept and infants’ ability of self-care have a significant positive correlation,educational effectiveness and democratic interaction have significant predictive and positive function on the infant’s self-care ability.
