With the popularity and the development of technology and the mass media,people's ways of thinking,learning and cognition are quietly changing.At the same time,the teaching resources which are diverse,visualized,situational,exoteric,interactive and generative are more conducive to students' autonomous learning and sustainable development.Micro-video teaching resources as a kind of important carrier of spreading knowledge have exerted a profound impact on education.In addition,in recent years,micro-video teaching has become the frontier and hot topic in the field of education.Although the micro-video teaching has been a hot topic of educational technology research,there are still some teachers misunderstanding the micro-video teaching resources in actual use.Micro-video teaching resources combine pictures,texts,sounds and images together.They can fully mobilize learners' various senses and meet the different learning needs of different learners.If the teacher uses micro-video teaching resources appropriately and reasonably,he will greatly promote the learners' learning efficiency,and facilitate the improvement of teaching efficiency.Based on whether micro-video teaching resources used in English listening teaching can improve students' listening ability and how to effectively use micro-video teaching resources in English listening teaching,this thesis tries to find out some problems existed in the English listening teaching in a junior high school.It describes the effect of micro-video teaching resources applying to English listening teaching,and analyzes the efficient teaching mode of applying micro-videos to English listening.Besides,it attempts to use micro-video teaching resources to overcome the difficulties and solve problems in English listening teaching.In addition,this thesis intends to provide better resources and methods for the English listening teaching in the future.The thesis is adapted to the developmental trend of teaching resources which are miniature,personalized and interactive.According to the psychological characteristics of students in junior high schools,the regularities of English learning,combining with the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning and Audio-visual Theory,the thesis takes theEnglish textbook of Grade Seven published by Beijing Normal University Press as a sample,and explores the application effect of micro-video teaching resources in English listening teaching in junior high schools.Through interviews and questionnaires,the writer has found out some existing problems in English listening teaching.The thesis makes the empirical research on the application mode of micro-video teaching resources in English listening teaching.It guarantees the scientific results and preciseness.The study shows that micro-video teaching resources can present a more authentic teaching environment,help junior high school students better to understand the meaning of the listening materials and improve their listening ability.Micro-video teaching resources can not only animate the classroom atmosphere,enhance the students' interests in learning,cultivate their language skills,but also enrich the teachers' English teaching methods,promote their attempts in the reformation and the innovation of the listening teaching mode.At the same time,the study can provide an effective reference for the perfection of the later study and the improvement of the effective use of the micro-video teaching resources.The thesis is divided into five parts.Chapter One is the introduction,including the background,the purpose and significance,and the structure of the whole thesis.Chapter Two mainly introduces the literature review,including the related theories and present researches on micro-video teaching at home and abroad.Chapter Three combines a concrete sample lesson plan and mainly refers to the research design,which includes the research questions,subjects,instruments as well as the procedures of the research.Chapter Four mainly contains the research results and data analysis.Through the interview and listening appraisal,the writer describes the efficiency of micro-video teaching resources.Besides,the writer analyzes and explores an efficient English listening teaching mode.Chapter Five is the conclusion and reflection,including the major findings,innovations,limitations and further research orientation of the study.
