With the development of educational informationization,modern education technology has penetrated into all aspects of education and teaching,and promoted the development of teaching reform.Nowadays,micro video teaching has become the forefront and hot spot in the field of educational technology.With the development of micro video,more and more educators begin to pay attention to the application and development of micro video teaching resources in the field of education.However,most educators focus on the use and development of micro video teaching resources in the information technology courses.In contrast,the researches of micro video teaching resources in English courses are few,especially,the studies on the students' learning interest and ability.Moreover,there are few researches on the systematic application during the training of students' English listening,speaking,reading and writing.At present,students are no longer satisfied with the traditional teaching methods which are only related to the content of the textbooks.Therefore,the study tends to investigate whetherusing the micro-video teaching resources can improve the students' attitude towards English learning and students' English proficiency.In this experiment,108 students from two parallel classes are selected as subjects,and the number of students in the two classes is respectively 53 and 55.The two classes act as the experimental class and the control class separately.And both of the classes are taught by the same teacher.The experimental class is taught under the new teaching mode based on the micro video,while the traditional method is used in the control class.The research instruments include questionnaires,tests and interviews.This study focuses on two questions: 1)Can the use of micro-video teaching resources change the students' attitude towards English learning? 2)Can the use of micro-video teaching resources improve the students' English proficiency? The research findings show that: Students' learning attitude have been greatly improved based on the micro video teaching mode.The scores of experimental class English are significantly better than that in the control class.The micro video teaching mode can effectively cultivate students' Englishability in listening,speaking,reading and writing.Meanwhile,it can broaden students' knowledge perspective.Based on the above research results,the author puts forward some suggestions for the future teaching.First of all,teachers should notice that the video teaching resource is a kind of teaching methods,not the teaching purpose.Teachers also need timely give advice and appropriate questions during the cultivation of students' thinking ability,questioning ability and innovation ability.Secondly,teachers should pay attention to the choice of appropriate micro videos according to the teaching objectives.The application of micro video should focus on teaching content,follow the rules of English teaching.Finally,although the micro-video teaching can facilitate the English teaching,we should combine the traditional teaching with the new teaching modebased on micro video in order to better achieve the teaching effects.
