Foot Orienteering is a new,fashion sport.It is of great significance to improve the level of students' physical health,cultivate students' ability to survive in the wild,fast response,analyze problems and make decisions.As an important part of Orienteering,Foot Orienteering is minimum difficulty and easy to carry out in Orienteering.At present,Orienteering Courses in Colleges and universities in Changchun is carried out relatively late and the Schools are still relatively few.Therefore,it is of positive theoretical and practical significance to understand the development of Foot Orienteering Courses,and to promote the better development of Foot Orienteering Courses in Colleges and universities in Changchun.This study used method of literature,expert interviews,questionnaire survey,mathematical,logical analysis and other research methods.The research and exploration is about situation of Orientation curriculum development,physical education teachers and students in the 8 colleges and universities in Changchun(Northeast Normal University,Changchun University of Technology,Changchun Normal University,Jilin Agricultural University,Changchun University,Changchun Normal University)that have carried out the Foot Orientation teaching,to analyzes the problems existing in the development of Orienteering Course in Colleges and universities in Changchun,and probe into the countermeasures to solve the problems,which lays the foundation for the better development of Orienteering Courses in Colleges and universities in Changchun.Through the research,the following conclusions are obtained:1.There is a lack of equipment ownership in the college Foot Orienteering Course in Changchun;The teaching content is less theoretical and lacks the assessment of the students' learning process.The courses are mainly optional courses.2.Foot Orientation course teachers are mainly young and middle-aged,with bachelor's degree.The teacher's title is mainly lecturer,lack professional skills,and students do not have a deep understanding of orienteering.3.There are some problems in the Foot Orienteering curriculum in Changchun colleges and universities,such as insufficient attention by the school leaders,teachers' professional level,and students' lack of awareness of the orientation curriculum.4.Optimization Countermeasures: enhance the importance of school leaders,supplement directional equipment,enhance the professional skills of teachers,and strengthen the students' cognition of the directional curriculum.
