College ideological and political education is a scientific,purposeful,planned and organized education process.With political education as its core,it aims at developing college students' political and moral literacy and helping them establish socialist ideals and faith in communism.Positive education focusing on the positive emotions individuals have when searching for their needs can vigorously facilitate college students to receive ideological and political education,help them find their goals in learning and build their political and moral standards and ultimately shape their political position and world view.Research shows that college students,have a positive overall assessment of the Ideological and Political Education course.They are satisfied with the teachers and curriculum and have some expectation for traditional models of ideological and political education.Besides,they also show different positive emotions while receiving ideological and political education.Today's college students pay more attention to psychology and consultation courses.Therefore,an important way to improve the effectiveness of college ideological and political education is to put more emphasis on cultivating positive emotions in college students,and carrying out more researches on the theory and practice of positive emotion education.Positive emotions can motivate individuals in a subtle way,meet the needs of both educators and students,improve the effectiveness of education and promote the overall development of ideological and political education.To cultivate positive emotions in college students,it is necessary to do the following things:establish a systematic curriculum,a decision-making mechanism,an implementation mechanism and an assessment system;improve course design to meet the practical needs of college students;attach importance to teacher development to make sure teachers are qualified not only in their teaching awareness,qualification and personal charm,but also in their communication skills and emotion adjustment abilities;to improve teaching environment and maximize the positive influences of the society,the Internet and students' family;to educate student in a people-oriented approach so that college students can play an active role in their own character-building;to establish a cultivation platform that takes advantage of the Internet and new media to cultivate positive emotions and healthy personality of college students and turn them into talents of the nation.
